Still can't see any listed price, though

    Another review:

ATI Radeon HD 5830 DirectX-11 Video Card | Radeon HD 5830,ATI,DirectX-11,Video Card,ATI Radeon HD 5830 DirectX-11 Benchmark Performance Graphics Framerate Test Video Card Review | Benchmark Reviews Performance Tests

There is a huge price gap between the 5770 and 5850 video cards; currently it's the difference between $160 and $300, using the low end for both cards as a reference. You could drive a truck through that gap, which is why there has been so much speculation on where the performance of the Radeon HD5830 would eventually land. As it turns out, ATI was aiming right at the middle and in some applications they hit it dead on. Unfortunately, in some other applications, the HD5830 performed too close to HD5770 territory. Still, it's a very good thing to be able to buy a card that will keep with a GTX285 in most applications for only $239. I know some will be disappointed with the perceived value, but I've heard too many people say that if it didn't perform close to the 5850 and cost $200 at most, that it would be a total failure. That's a completely unrealistic expectation

The 5830 is a card that the public has had some very high expectations for coming in to this launch. The 4830 – as short lived as it was – was a well received card even if it wasn’t an immediate bargain. For anyone expecting a repeat performance on the 5830, we can’t help but feel that you’re going to come away disappointed.
On a global average, the 5830 sits about half-way between a 4890 and a 4870, or if you prefer is about 8% slower than a GTX 275 and 20% slower than a 5850. The latter is particularly interesting since it comes so close to the 5850 even though it only has 55% of the ROP capacity; clearly the hit to the ROPs didn’t hurt too badly.
At any rate, I had been expecting something that would consistently be to the north of the 4890 in performance, but the performance is what it is – there’s no bad card, only a poorly priced card.

I'll take back my first impression. Predictions were true about it being more of an HD5770 than an HD5830, I hope they're wrong. Will definitely read more reviews. And for the price of $240? I would just wonder how much is it when it steps the phil. market. Anyway performance difference is understandable. The drivers for the HD5xxx series are just a few months old. But they should price it better. I guess our last hope here is nvidia.

The Radeon HD 5830 is set to come in about 17% cheaper than the 5850, and based on what we have seen it is on average 17% slower. So really, consumers are getting the same level of value with the Radeon HD 5830 as they would with the 5850, just at a cheaper price point. With performance to match the GeForce GTX 285, the Radeon HD 5830 makes more sense than the 5850 for users with 22” LCDs or smaller.

Ambot lang. Nagpagawas naman ang NVidia og GT340. DX10 pa gihapon. Morag re-branding lang sa ila GT200, nga rebrand sa 98xx nga rebrand sa 88xx....

    GeForce GT 340

The GT240 is a 9600GT rebrand. Generally the same ra ang GT340 vs the GT240. Difference is the GT340 is OEM, GT240 is for retail. Anyway, talking about the GTX 4xx series. If nvidia is true to their launch date, and indeed will perform as what was speculated then ATI will be forced to strip down their current pricing scheme.

Both cards are similar. The only difference is that 4890 is pure power while the 5770 is more on technology.
