Here we go again on a Physics war. Like who gets the bigger candy but the taste sucks.

Hey boys! I own a HD 5770(at last) and I play Battlefield: Bad Company 2. BF:BC2 is known for destructible elements and all I can say is that even without PhysX, The physics engine provided with the Frostbite Engine is just awesome! There's nothing that Frostbite can't do compared to PhysX.

However, you have to consider that if NVidia has PhysX, ATI has Eyefinity, Low Energy Consumption and DX11. ATI wins in terms of technology. But then again, you have to consider than NVidia is pure power and not technology. ATI is trying to mix both and they're doing really well on this one

GeForce 8xxx series GPUs and later (with a minimum of 32 cuda cores and a minimum of 256MB dedicated graphics memory) support Physx.

all GPUs that have a GeForce naming are from nvidia.

your card is a very good Physx processor but using it to render your games + Physx @ resolutions above
1680 x 1050, espescially if you enable in-game visual details, it's not powerful enough.

If you like crunching numbers for science then Nvidia would be the way to go. Cuda drivers unleash massive processing power from the GPU which can smoke high-end CPU performance.
