either way, intel or amd, even the cheapest dual-cores right now, it's ok.. it doesn't really matter in gaming performance... really... "wow, after switching to intel i7 i get 120fps from 100fps, just add 10T pesos"
..just don't buy the cheapest...

a nice LCD and a good video card will matter a lot...
and perhaps a nice chassis and PSU.. and SSD maybe if budget permits...
