@strat60 hehee I misread your post yeah i will post my thoughts after reading it but first I have to buy it

you know what I've seen a lot of Richard North Patterson books, but have not really venture out on him yet.. guess i'll give it a try soon..

For those into fantasy, dragon, elves, dwarves and magic.. try Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Trilogy

    1. Eragon -- you will simply fall in love with Saphira
    2. Eldest - saphira getting lovable

@samokan - Me too, i bought several books of Patterson from RSO and booksale except for his newer ones.

Richard North Patterson is a genius in terms of character development. Try reading one of his works and you'll know what i mean. "Degree of Guilt" is commonly found at second hand bookstores. The newer ones: "Protect and Defend"; "Conviction" and "Balance of Power" is somewhat like a triology. I consider his books in terms of courtroom drama better than John Grisham or Scott Turow.

@GwynHuever: The Third Secret by Steve Berry is quite good also. It's all about Virgin Mary's appearance in Fatima, Portugal. I like his books for it is actually based on true events.

I'm learning a lot 'bout this thread! I used to post only on the music section.

@ tolstoi: hehehe, you're wrong bai... it's not a matter of megabytes, I can attest to the fact that it takes GIGABYTES... I have around 4Gigs now of Ebooks.... still dwarfed by my 50Gb music collection, but the hardcopies make up for most of it... hehehe anyway, it's really not the same, a real book in you hands versus an ebook.... it's like surfing asianhotties.com vs having a real asian hottie in front of you.... hahahahah

@ samokan: yep, they did have some good stuff there... oh well...

@ strat60: you'll get there bai... like i said, perseverance is key... hmmm, need help digitizing your CD collection...? heheheh

@ Gwyn: ohhhhhhh, what a sorry waste of books..... waaaaahhhhh, i wish you knew me when you were dispersing your books.... waaaaahhhhhh.... I used to live in manila before, and when i moved here i had to leave all my books too, but i left them with my parents, and now they're shipping it my way... heheheh oh yeah, the smell of old books is quite addictive... i ordered this one book that had three owners' names in the title page... one from 1909, another in the 40's, and another from the 70's... i gave it as a present to my wifey, and she added her name with the year 2004... that was really special... hope to pass it on to someone this century... hehehe i guess i'm lucky coz my wife adores books as much as i do, so when a bill for $450 from abebooks shows up in our credit card, she just rolls her eyes, but still has a smile on her lips, knowing that more beautiful books are on their way.... heheheh
