huhuhu wala ko kita nga PS3 man diay ni nga thread... oh well, sa katong mo dula og PC add ko. thanx
I certainly hope you aren't serious. MW2 on the PC is nearing the numbers of MW1 even after the boycott crap, and that gap will most probably grow closer. The CoD franchise is a juggernaut on all platforms. The top games on Live are almost always occupied by three CoD games all the time. If Sony released numbers, I bet we'd see similar numbers.
It is misleading to look at your playing habits and your friend's playing habits and extrapolate the behavior of the wider gaming population.
I stopped reading at the bolded part. Whether I'm serious or not.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Spoiler!
Steam: Game and Player Statistics
Spoiler!
Added that not everyone uses Xfire(afaik, Asia has the most number of Xfire users) and Steam accurately records the number of online people, I don't see the bolded text conclusive at all.
I stopped reading when you failed to understand how the PC population works. First off, these are two games ... one with a long, long head start. Games such as these on the PC platform only grow over time. In the long run, MW2 will catch up and will be played by more players. This has always been a trend in PC gaming when it comes to PC gaming. Modern Warfare hit it's peak before MW2 was even released ... and the population will only decline. MW2 is only gaining players. In the end, only the hardcore elitist clans are going to be playing MW.
I stopped reading when you assumed that I myself was posting conclusive fact. Then you mention Xfire ... a gaming population dwarfed by North American players. Are you seriously trying to derail your argument? I stopped reading when you assumed that I said MW2 had a bigger population when I said MW2 is nearing MW1 numbers and will only close the gap. Saying this is incorrect based on numbers of today and not the future is utterly fanboy material.
You remind me of a CS 1.6 elitist when Source came out. Look at those numbers. Perhaps you are too young to have a gaming history to look back on ... or maybe just too elitist to step back and look at the numbers apart from the here and now.
Yet, we haven't even mentioned what is probably more on topic ... the consoles. MW2 already has more players on Live ... and that probably a good reflection at the PS3 population as well. You see, console players don't have this elitist dedicated server baggage. Console players don't really think of themselves as going pro or getting boners from the hardware. PC players take longer to get off their drug, but off they will get. Look at Counter-Strike.
