By the way, i've noticed that the "Internet" LED indicator of our zyxel modem doesn't light up. It is supposed to, right?

i'm just concerned of the "con" of using the router. you need to turn on your host pc everytime every single pc in the network would like to connect to the internet. kalas kaayo ug kuryente man gud, bro.
i'll try alimoot's suggestion sah. if it ain't gonna work, maybe i'll consider buying a router.
dli bro oi.. you dont need to turn on ur pc if naa mo connect nga lain... ang router ra og modem knahanglan imo i on...
router would be the best solution for your dillema, but you can tweak your modem so that it can function as a modem/router. by default, pldt provided modems such as zyxel's are set to plain DSL modems...you can check this website How to configure Zyxel P-600 series with PLDT MyDSL | PCRemiX :: PC Tips, Tricks and Tweaks
Definitely wrong. You can tweak the PLDT modem router to make it act as a router also, and by that, you will be able to use ur switch. No more acquiring for a new device. If mo palit man lng gani ka ug router, Wireless router na lang para naa na lng pud wi-fi. But as i have said, it can be done with ur current devices. No more turning on sa host pc 24/7. Ang PLDT modem na ang mo dala ana 24/7. Here's the scenario: PLDT Modem Router -> Switch -> Network PC's. I did this sa office before and even sa balay karon.
Thanks to all of you guys for your help!![]()
