Cebu City is under the Leyte, Cebu, Negros Panay Grid. lahi pud ang status sa Mindanao since they are dependent sa Falls and or Dams.
Cebu is dependent sa Leyte Geothermal (under preventive maintenance) and other private power generators.

VECO ga distribute ra na sila sa Power. they are not power generators but distributor ra.
If wala mo abot na power sa ila Sub-Stations, wala pud sila ma distribute.

They need to manage and schedule the power interruptions otherwise mo "Shutdown" ang whole VECO
distribution system due to overload. mas daku na hinoon na problema sa tanan.
Private Consumers with large power usage are encouraged to voluntarily shutdown during peak hours.

VECO normally sends NOTICES like this: READ IF DUNA MO TIME to have a better understanding of the situation. Cge pud ni sa mga News in Tri-Media.

    Dear Sir/Ma'am,

Power supply in the Cebu-Negros and Panay (CNP) grid (where VECO belongs) remains to be of great concern in the coming months with no available power reserves. Whenever, a single power plant serving the CNP grid breaks down or is under preventive maintenance, brownouts/power interruptions occur, especially during peak periods. For VECO, peak periods would mean from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. During these times, consumption of electricity is at its highest.

To minimize inconvenience on the part of the consumers, VECO is giving this notice as a guide IF A POWER SUPPLY SHORTAGE OCCURS.

VECO will then implement a one-hour rotation brownout in Metro Cebu to help ease the power supply shortage problem.

Based on our records you belong to Feeder XXX2 FEEDER. There is a probability that your area will be interrupted from 7:00 - 8:00 P.M. TODAY.

xxx2 covers greater parts of Brgy , Brgy. There will be instances however, that the interruption will come a little earlier or later depending on the requirement of NGCP.

The schedule above is not a guarantee that you will be interrupted on your assigned time. A manual load shedding or power interruption scheme will be implemented depending on the available power supply and the power consumption of the customers at that particular time.

The advise on whether VECO needs to interrupt certain areas will come from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the company which serves as a “traffic control center” for power coming from the power suppliers and the need for power by the distribution companies.

Coz the power supplied to them also came from GenCo via TransCo NPC.
East Asia alone can't help since most of its power is a support load to MEPZ.
if nag nihit apil sila since MECO is same with veco JUST AN ELECTRIC COOP SELLING POWER.

just like mga mag tinda ug isda if wala mo abot na lantsa dala isda wala pud sila tinda.
but power is a very tricky business unlike other products.

if you produce 100W unya 1Watt ra nag gamit all of the 99Watts are lost.
unlike if you produce 1gallon of water and 1 liter is bought you still can keep and sell the surplus the next day.

if i have a 3 power plants than can generate 3 MW of power but the load requirement is 2.1MW peak hours and 1.80MW normal hours they will only operate 2 power plants (2MW) unya e rotational brownout na lang ang 0.1MW para dili ma waste ang .99MW

after the peak hours, mo normalize na pud ang load so maka supply na pud sila sa tanan feeders.
