    GameSpot gave WKC a 6/10

On the surface, White Knight Chronicles does a lot of things right. The world and creatures look really good, you can battle a variety of colossal creatures during the single-player campaign or online with some friends, and turn into a giant knight whenever you desire. But there are just too many problems weighing the overall experience down. Shallow combat and a predictable story make going through the main quest a slog, and the online portion is crippled by the same problems as well as dull objectives that lack variety. The beauty of White Knight Chronicles cannot hide the flaws of this forgettable and often tedious adventure.

    Oh, okay Gamespot.

Personally, mas ga anticipate jud ko sa WKC kaysa sa FFXIII...WKC has a very unique and solid online experience with the georama, geonet and all...Then some 50 hours of offline gameplay, 50 hours online, so more or less 100 hours of gameplay...FFXIII...hmmmm....Let's put it this way, I've waited for this game ever since i had my ps3, which was way back in 2007...HOWEVER, i read the reviews of the jap version and it pretty much dashed my otherwise high expectations for the game...NO TOWNS, NO WORLD MAP, just fights, cutscene, fights, cutscene, more cutscenes, fights, some more fights, cutscenes, etc...An eternal loop of fights and cutscenes...Basically, FFXIII is just a movie with fights...Sa WKC naman, some people have criticized it's uber shallow story...Well, personally, i don't care...as long as it FEELS RPG, then i'll most likely fall in love with it...FFXIII no longer feels like an RPG, at least from what I've read...So atm, WKC > FFXIII...

BTW, kinsa ninyo ang naanay WKC ga pa reserve jud ko january pa wa jud ko txti.... but then again, when i went to check if naa na stock wala paman sad...ka dugay bah diay sa feb 2 diri sa ubec noh...hahaha

Perhaps Sony itself decided to play safe by giving WKC very light marketing for English gamers...to avoid conflict with FFXIII.

IGN's review of White Knight Chronicles is causing an outrage among PS3 and JRPG fans as of this moment

When I first heard that developer Level-5 was handling White Knight Chronicles, I was excited. After all, this is the studio behind such classic Japanese role-playing games (JRPGs) as Dark Cloud, Rogue Galaxy and Dragon Quest VIII (not to mention portable hits like Jeanne d'Arc). Although it took years for White Knight Chronicles to arrive in the United States, it was still eagerly anticipated by RPG fans. With the 360 boasting more and more JRPGs, it seemed like Sony's console was losing its grip on the genre it had once so stubbornly clutched.

Unfortunately, White Knight Chronicles (known as "White Knight Chronicles International Edition" in the United States) is one of the first major disappointments of 2010. The end result, which is far removed from the promise of the original concept trailer, not only looks far worse, but has a flawed battle system, poorly-told story and a number of technical issues. I'm amazed that this game, which had so much potential, actually came from a studio with such a vast amount of experience. As sad as it is to say, White Knight Chronicles is a letdown.

No, this game is not worth playing. It will eat away at you slowly, thinking that something will change, that it'll get better, that somehow all the tedium and boredom that starts to set in will reverse itself. It doesn't. Ever. Some of the online offerings will stave off the inevitable for a while, but eventually everyone will come out the other side worse for the experience. It's best to hold off and wait for the sequel when it arrives a year after the Japanese release; there's sure to be a recap about the few major plot points at the start of the next game. Save yourself the $60 and just wait. After all, you've waited this long. What's another few years?

just bought White Knight Chronicles sa Data Blitz...ZZZZZ, was hoping for Star Ocean: Till the End the End of Time, pero wla paman. QQ

anyway White Knight is really a big disappointment..graphics are horrid! kinda like a PS2 game. battle system/style is very time consuming--you have to wait for cooldowns in order to attack and it's no use running around the field since the enemies can hit you pretty much anywhere. the only cool thing about is the online play which you can do online only quests and build a town of your own.

played for 2 hours and i stopped..i should have waited for Star Ocean.

    PS3 JRpgs/Rpg Suggestions:

    Valkyria Chronicles
    Eternal Sonata
    Star Ocean: The Last Hope
    Final Fantasy XIII
