to all: there was this software I downloaded, when it retrieved some files that were damaged I saw th preview of each one but too bad I cudnt save all at once.... pag turn on balik sa pc viola i can open the drive d now.... but mg cge gihapon hang wen I surf..... I will be asking a technician to have this reformatted by then.....

This behavior can occur if the file, folder or file system index (Master File Table [MFT] or File Allocation Table [FAT]) is damaged.

complicated suggestion: make a Linux live-usb. this is very useful for recovering files. i suggest making one with the Ubuntu Linux distribution. Dali ra na siya. all you need is a usb drive with at least 1gb, an iso copy of the OS installer and a live-usb maker like Unetbootin. google lang, naa diha tubag nimo tanan.

about the cause of the problem, i suspect it's a virus.

I think it is..... avast detected some..uncertain if it was able to completely remove all......
