^ What insight does the movie offer about God's existence?
It just occurred to me, the thread is entitled "Why is God always innocent?" Well, in the atheists' eyes, he's always guilty, too, right? So a similar question can be asked of atheists, "Why is God always guilty?"

^^ question doesn't exist. They cannot make a non-existing thing guilty. Shocking to me as it sounds. This is a one way question.![]()
so you mean those people who prays the most should be wealthy and should not experience pain? if that's the case, everyone will be praying every hour so that they will become wealthy and will not experience any suffering, then we can no longer determine what is faith..
and how sure are you that this people in santo niño church, those selling candles are suffering? is it because of how they look? then you're the one's discriminating them. They maybe poor but you could be suffering more than them..
if everyone will have a life of bliss, then we can no longer determine what is bliss and what is suffering.. we can no longer determine what's the difference between happiness and loneliness.. tsk! tsk! tsk!
We can agree that God, within the confines of reconciling its philosophical and religious concept, is strange. But you have to understand that it is fruitless to criticize prayer and faith in God. Why so irritated with a christian's "alibi" for his suffering (A trial; our life on earth is just temporary, what's important is our life after death)? From a philosophical stand, if you can prove without a doubt that God does not exist, then you very well have all the grounds to criticize faith in Him. Using God to justify mass murders is another.Originally Posted by fingolfin

Heaven, like God, is quite an interesting subject to dissect, too, if you think about it. There's no denying that the religious love sugar-coating God and heaven.

this is just based on my understanding of God and the Bible: in the ancient times of the Jewish people, good or bad things are foretold by the prophets nya most of them kay buhat jud ni God for or against someone/race/religion. there's the probability that God allowed it all to happen for His own purposes nga kita mismo gamay ra ang nahibaw-an. But look at the good side, daghan tawo ni-volunteer ug tabang sa mga biktima ani tanan... which God wants us all to do.
I was only making an observation. It seems that atheists often blame God whenever calamities or tragedies occur. Well, why do they blame God when they don't believe he exists in the first place? Your comment above seems to imply that you agree that the thread title is not a very good question.
