Algae attack occurred after being setup for a month.
Na overdose nako iron (daily before), 1-2bps of CO2, 152watts T5 lighting plus igo pa gamay na sunlight for 30mins to an hour inig buntag for a 3ftx18x18 aquarium.
Almost all types of algae suddenly sprouted. (hair, staghorn etc...).
Measures taken:
Halved my lighting, stopped putting Iron, added 2 pleco(died 2 days), 2 Oto's, 5 tiger barbs, 10 Nerites, 5 SAE's and recently 15 ghost shrimps. Also increased my CO2 to 3-4bps. Added a curtain to minimize the sun's rays from penetrating the tank. Added 10 Neon tetras and 5 Blue Tetras to provide the ferts so dli nako mag dose Iron that much. Also have a population of 50+ RCS breeders. Planning to add 10 cardinal tetra's.
After a month, controlled na ang algae. Though na a pa gamay. =D
