Senate to probe rice shipment from Vietnam, says Gordon

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines—Senator Richard Gordon said Saturday the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee will look into the discovery of sacks of a white substance which can be turned into either shabu or explosives that were found in a shipment of rice imported by the National Food Authority from Vietnam.
Gordon, who chairs the committee, said there was something highly suspicious in the discovery of N-methylephedrine, which was later said to be ammonium sulfate, in a shipment of 77,000 bags of NFA rice from Vietnam to Bacolod City as it could be a move to raise funds for the elections.
Gordon, who was in Bacolod City Saturday, did not say who he suspected of raising funds but said a close watch on all large-scale shipments by the government should be closely monitored.

Corruption is a concern to many Filipinos, so should I be worried about that?

Gordon is currently Blue Ribbon Committee (the commitee which deals specifically with graft/corruption within the government) Chairman and authored the bill to fully automate the 2010 elections in order to curtail voter fraud, and he voted for The Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (SBN-3532).

Also, Gordon was the youngest delegate to the 1971 Constitutional Convention, which makes him a living symbol of our democracy. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Laws, he insisted on lawful charter change unexceptionally as prescribed by the Constitution and has rejected bills, which he believed were unconstitutional, such as Gloria Arroyo‘s declaration of martial law sa Maguindanao. In conclusion, it is apparent that Gordon will uphold the rule of law and take any measures necessary to curb graft and corruption as his record shows.

This is in my opinion the best person to be the President of the Philippines

He has the capabilities to discipline and to eradicate corruption

He has the drive to improve the Philippine Image and Status of our country

He has good track records ever since he was the Mayor of Olongapo

Wala syay gi dapigan nga kinsang politico nga naa syay utang na loob

He has the potential to motivate each and every Filipinos to improve more on their respective lives

He is a disciplinarian and no blah blah dizing when he talks about anything

... and with these things... I VOTE FOR GORDON

^^ aside from that, SBMA -chair and DOT Secretary --> ALL JOB WELL DONE AS EXECUTIVES!

And don't forget his being chair sa Red Cross. Fully modernized ang red cross complete with 24H response (dial 143).

And I admire that he has been a Red Cross volunteer since he was 17 years old.
