This doesn't mean nga wala silay kapalpakan, kay naa man gyud na in this business.
However, a lot of times you listen to people complaining and when you look into the details it turns out it's their own fault they missed the flight. Worse, they take their complaints to the media in an attempt to get back at the airline. Like one idiot councilor who fell asleep at the departure lounge and woke up to find the plane gone (he probably thought he was in session). He was livid. Why wasn't he woken up for boarding? Well, he was paged and paged but he'd slept through the PA announcements. Another one, a mediaman IIRC, showed up at the check-in counter 20 minutes before departure time. Of course he was told he couldn't check in. Both took their cases to the media with accompanying threats to sue.
More recently, a German national standing in line ahead of me showed up for an 8:10 AM flight at 8:00 AM. When told the check-in counter was already closed, he raised hell. But then the passengers around the check-in counter knew what the real score was and he only succeeded in making himself a laughing stock.
This Baywalk Bodies case is probably the same.
The case posted by omar50071 on the other hand is different. It bears more investigation.
If people feel Cebu Pacific is really no good, the best thing to do is to vote with their wallets: Travel with other airlines. Daghan bitaw choices like PAL/Air Philippines and Zest Air.
It just won't do for people to say, "Cebu Pacific sucks, but their low fares are so irresistible!"
