dili jud effective ang 3-hole socket kay wala man naka-connect sa ground ang ikatulo nga hole, gi-try nako open ang wall outlet para makita kung naa ba connection ang 3rd hole to ground then wala man. i think mao sad na kasagaran sa mga balay, gatapol ang electrician ug butang ug connection padulong ground.

True, most of the time walay connection ang third hole for grounding. That's why you need to make one. You need to open the socket though to make the connection. So, each time na mugamit ka ug three pin power cord, sure ka na properly grounded siya. Its better this way kay its cleaner than connecting a ground wire to your case.

Let me illustrate. Assuming that you have a three hole socket without the ground connection, then you need to make a ground wire and connect it. (red line) You need to be a bit of a electrician to do this and make sure the main switch is turned off.

before we ground anything, hehehe, just make sure that all equipment to be grounded are connected to a common point.

hi everyone..

right now im kinda worried about my computer.. ma-maak ang psu (bite).

how do i stop that from happening?

1. do i need grounding (which i dnt have yet in my pc. )?

2. is my PSU deffective?

3. or i need a new AVR ?

i appreciate any suggestions ...

i have eliminated the prob already but for those who haven't yet. question lang, naa bani siya determinal effect sa entire computer system? considering na sensitive electrical components baya ni.
