.. i have to agree with you on this, that SOME or MOST of the arabs are no-good. But an arab friend of mine told me these words, it really is helpful when you start being judgemental ... he told me:

look at your hands, your fingers aren't of the same size, right ?? but they're still your fingers. It can be said the same with people, whereever you go, there will be different types of people, the good and the bad, but they're still people

.. i hope you guys will ponder on that too.

.. and saying that MANGADTO SAUDI PARA PAULIPON, well, that's kinda harsh and that's a generalization from a person who truly doesnt know the situation. Take my case, did i come here to be "enslaved" or for greener pastures You might believe me or not, let's just say i'm financially stable there in the philippines, but the reason i came here is coz i'm bored and i want to do something radical when I reach the age of 30. This opportunity came to me, a very good friend of mind called and invited me to come, so, here i am. I have a very good relationship with my employer and i have no problems so far, aside from the obvious MINGAW. But this is what i wanted, to experience what it's like to work abroad coz my father was working all over the world for 20 years now and is still doing it, i want to emulate him. When I grow old I could always look back that on the age of 31, i was here in saudi. but that's my case.....

.. but, sadly, the truth is, MOST of the filipinos here came to make money, but isnt that just being practical Look, let's just say you're an engineer and your salary in the phillipines is 30k pesos but you are offered a 100k salary and free of everything here in saudi .... would you still say no

.. and back to the DH, most DH here are just HS graduates, let's face it, how can you get a job with only a HS diploma in the philippines They come here coz it offers a substantial salary ( for their standards ). But again, that's just being practical.

.. but sadly, even here in Taif, the filipina women are MALANDI, but only to their own countrymen not to arabs. We have a KABAYAN MARKET here, it's where pinoys come to buy grocery. But then again, when you're in a foreign country and you see a fellow pinoy, it's such a relief and eventhough i hate tagalog, i find it beautiful to listen.

.. i understand why some of our members here are angry towards the arabs and take pity on their countrymen, but let me just suggest that you SEE IT ON A WIDER PERSPECTIVE. Dont focus only on the RAPE, MALTREATMENT issues, that is happening all over the world, not just here in Saudi. But ask yourself first this WHY HAVE THEY GONE TO ABROAD ?? ... and then look at our country right now. And for sure, you'll see the answer to that question.

Kay stricto daw didto in terms of extramarital affairs...LOL

ang batas ai batas.. their own citizen comes 1st ... either mag binootan ka or uli sa pilipinas

Kasabot bah kah unsay pasabot anga Crab mentality bro? or basin Crab nga kasag ra imo nailhan? Read between the lines of my previous posts bro.
Sa Middle East walay bias ang balaod , last year one of the members of the Royal family and some other MP's were put on trial for corruption case kay ang mga members of the PArliament had presented a hard evidence , videos, night club bills against the culprits while having a business trip in Japan. Kabalo kah anhe bro? Wala noooh?

I'm sure again, wa sad tawn kay knowledge adto dong?

Ang media sa middle east are controlled by the gov't .labi nah ug mga gorrific na kaayo ang mga scenes of the crime dili parehas sa atua nga celebrated & sensatioanlized kaayo like Maguindanao massacre hemoan pagani ug DVD.

5 months ago, 5 Kuwaiti's we're arrested & faced a death penalty for simply putting up a conspiracy towards American camps here.Di bah American's are just expats in Kuwait?

Now let me ask you my dear, sa atua bah , mapersecute ug masilotan in due process ang mga corrupt nga gov't officials? Naay inyong Erap diha ug uban pang mga nasenstensyahan Honasan, Trillanes, etc. mangandidato pa man gani? Sa middle east probably , we must admit yes there is a discrimination between expats & citizens just like any other foreign country, but hey, don't you tell me na walay discrimination sa U.S.?
    C'mon!
Like what i said, and I'll have to repeat this over & over again.
If you want speedy judicial system, we must adapt the gulf laws, particularly on henious crimes.
Bro, again, sakit man dawaton ang mga tinood nahitabo sa atong nasud, but, please, it's about time that you shud open your eyes to the reality, we all know that, at times, Reality bites jud.

    @ fingolfin,
Hang on there doc! Working in the middle east will really transform your life emotionally & spiritually and will enable you to grow more as an individual. You will discover a lot of things in your surroundings, your fellow kababayans. Mas sakit tan-awon bro imo kapwa kabayan maoy mobiktima sa iya kaugalingon kalahi.
Wait & see more & discover more.
If you are one teh type of nationalistic, there are circumstances taht you're gonna witness that will let you ask yourself, "Naunsa man tawn neh atong kababayan woi" Why do such, engage into such activities, etc.?

    FYI
I've been working here in the gulf for nearly 8 years now. And i'm not a nurse or a doctor yet I gained respect, because I earned it, from my fellow expats as well as from gulf citizens much as I gained respect from my Bisaya neighbors back in Cebu na pwerte ka mga suyaon, tsismosa, hilabtanon ug libakera.
My dad used to work in K.S.A. too as a Chief Engineer in a port when I was little.
I know unsay nahitabo sa atu nasud bro, kabalo ko nga bati kaayu compare sa lain nasud, OFW baya ko. ako point lan nga di nimu dapat i generalize nga nindot kaayu ang isa ka nasud tungod sa imu personal experience kay bisag unsa pa ka kadugay dha, di jud ka kalimud nga daghan pinoys dha nga naabuso nga hangtod kay way hustisya. nya ug sila ako pangutan on if nindot ba an nasud ila gitrabahuan? unsa kahay tubag nila?

    PEACE..
