Saw the movie over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. Robert Downey Jr. doesn't dissapoint, Jude Law was perfect as the trusty sidekick, witty dialogue, great action sequences, and Rachel McAdams alone was worth the price of admission.

4 out of 5 for me.

I'd give the movie a 4.5/5 rating. Needless to say, I'm biased since I'm a fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories.

The movie presents Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in a comical light. I always imagined the characters to be serious and formal, but the movie blew me away. Murag neurotic si Sherlock, hehehe! You'll catch a glimpse of Dr. Moriarty (Holmes' archnemesis) too -- just his suit, not his face. I thought at first that he (Moriarty) was Lord Blackwood... but then again, these are things you get to *think* about after finishing the film.

If you're looking for the usual drama, you won't find it here. Cool music and sketches, by the way. I highly recommend the movie to fellow bibliophiles. Guaranteed to surprise and amuse.

I'd rate the movie 4/5.

Although the movie is utterly funny, full of action scenes and presented in a way a bit opposite from the books, it made me a bit annoyed because Sherlock movie seems much different Sherlock book. ^_^

I ♥ Sherlock Holmes. I wish another movie starring that iron-man guy would come out this year. or maybe next year.
