PS3 versus Xbox 360 versus Wii

Apparently it's all becoming a difficult choice for those who haven't bought next-gen consoles. Me I'm just waiting for someone to give me.. I don't care if its either of the 3 basta I want one... hehehee... Yeah, I can still remember when I got my PS2, somebody bought it for me as a gift but what I really wanted was a gamecube hehehe.. but anyway it was tons of fun..

Yeah, I'm having trouble making the perfect choice and I can't ask somebody to buy me all three.. huhuhuh.. And XBOX Live is really a tempting offer..

LOL.. omg yeah..that's about the only time i ever use the PSP! There was even a time when it just stayed there plugged for charging and playing.. until i remembered the problems that the shower mist might cause.

back to being serious..

why Sony fell on their faces on E3:

1. Everyone wants a Wii which is supposed to cost a mere $200!

2. Xbox 360 has all the adult games covered.

3. Microsoft actually likes Wii..since Wii doesn't really count as competition. (it falls in the area between Xbox360 and PS3 and as long as people aren't buying the PS3 then M$ is happy)

4. Xbox 360 Core ($300) + Wii (~$200) = Playstation 3 Core ($500)
Xbox 360 Premium ($400) + Wii (~$200) = Playstation 3 Premium ($600)

5. Xbox 360's got the HD and adult gaming covered. While Wii's got the innovative and most importantly fun kiddish stuff games. You have the entire spectrum of gaming covered.

6. Sony's miserably failing at fooling people that they came up with their own ideas.

7. Playstation crap-i mean budget pack is absolutely a product of retard R&D and idiotic marketing. No HDMI? No mem card slots?



So since this is a VS thread. Here goes:

Stay in school. Don't do drugs. Drink your milk. Go for a Wii60!

Here my predictions on whose gonna have the most installed base by 1st quarter of 2008:
-North America, Europe, Australasia - Xbox360 will win this one followed closely by Wii then the PS3. I just think the 360s cheaper price compared to the PS3, great upcoming game lineup, and a well established online service are great factors for the MS console.

-Japan (and the rest of Asia) - Without a doubt the PS3 will be selling like pancakes in the Japanese market, followed by the Wii, and the 360 will take a distant last place. Unless MS can come up with some kinda Hello Kitty RPG game, or a Digimon/B-daman shooter, they just won't attract the Japanese people. Gears of War or Halo3 just doesn't appeal to them.

Japan is PS3 country and that is where there are legit players. But the rest of Asia? I think there'll be few legit players. Blu-ray is hard to crack Sony says and claims to even be uncrackable. And I don't want to say this but most Asians dig the illegit way of playing which will trouble Sony even more, so I'd say PS3 will win in Japan but not for the rest of Asia.

Yup, and Sony's budget PS3 is bullcrap. I hate it, but too bad it's the cheaper one. I guess u get what u pay for. And I was disappointed when Sony scrapped the 2nd HDMI port. It was one unique feature. Ok, blu-ray is there and while certainly Blu-ray has a solid backing let's not forget HD-DVD being supported by both Microsoft and INTEL and many major movie studios out there. (as far as I know, HD-DVD offerings currently are better than Blu-ray offerings [I mean the movies]) While it looks like Sony is playing the right cards with Blu-ray this time around, still only time will tell.
