Good or bad, this project is very feasible and reachable. The realization of a one Visayas is realistic, after all. Let's be optimistic and rid away of silly crab craps. After this, Cebu and Negros or Bohol and Leyte.

    Feasible? Reachable? hahahahah

Hatag daw feasibility study beh (cost / benefit analysis)

Reachable? ... Gibo even said it will not be completed in one term.... unless of course parliament na ta under ni Arroyo by then...

Wait ka lang. Feasible man gani ang mangrove area ug hunasan nga matitulohan? Bitaw, bai vip kaya ra na maski kinsa nga visionary. Great examples are the North Reclamation Area envisioned by Serging Osmeña. Gikataw-an lang siya kaniadto when he promised to reclaim Cebu City's shoreline from the sea. Then the Transcentral Highway of Lito Osmeña. They were many detractors that it is not feasible to build a road over fragmented mountain ranges over Central Cebu... and the rest is history.

    Pag cost / benefit lagi.....

    North Reclamation Area / SRP

Ang cost sa reclamation area, nabawi because of real estate properties. Same with the SRP nga ang cost mabawi ra because of real estate properties for investment..

The trans-central highway cost 373 Million pesos. ... that's a far cry from 50-68 Billion this bridge is going to cost the country.
It allowed interconnection between eastern and western part of Cebu and opened up Cities like Toledo and various other provinces to industries like ship building.

What about the Cebu-Bohol bridge? What real estate properties man ang imong ibaligya/lease? What areas/towns in bohol and respective industry will benefit from said project? What added benefit will a road network provide factoring in the cost of transporting goods via Roro or via the Road? Will volume of traded goods be enough to make land trip vs. roro more feasible?

Might I remind you that the cost for such a project would be around 50-68 BILLION Pesos... PLUS Operating Costs of maintaining the bridge

    1. Where will you source that kind of money and what collateral will you offer up for the loan?

    2. How will you convince private firms to invest in such a project with no direct revenue generators? Will you be asking for toll? How much?

    3. How much in Net benefits (tourism, trade etc) will be gained from such a project to link Cebu to the Northern part of Bohol? Will it be enough to recover the 50-68 BILLION peso investment?

Cost benefit analysis please..... istorya ra man na' imoha tanan.... Give us concrete facts and figures as to how the project is going to be accomplished?? Or si Gibo ra imo pa bahala-on ana tanan since salig na kaayo ka niya lol

    68 BILLION (68,000,000,000.00 PESOS)

This is an idealistic and unrealistic plan to bait idealistic and naive voters... period.

@vipvip Let's just wait and see. About all the blah-blah-blah you mentioned, let's leave that to the experts. Believe me, it give me headaches trying to digest the figures you posted and I could not give a credible reply except to leave the fate of this project to the powers that be. Let's leave it that way and sleep the night and hoping we may wake up to a spirited dawn and take a vacation to Bohol over this bridge by a V-hire. Peace.

Leaving it to the experts? Leave it to the fate of the powers that be?? Hala oi....

Ok.. You clearly have no sense of how infrastructure projects work.... imoha lang kay maka land trip ka sa bohol and adto sa beaches in Panglao...since you can't make a cost benefit analysis... I'll make this one simple...

    Vacation to Bohol Travel Time

    Fast Craft + Public Transpo

Cebu to Tagbilaran (1hr 45 mins)
    Tagbilaran to Panglao (20-30mins)

    (Total Travel time = 2hr 5 mins up to - 2hr 15 mins)

Land Trip from Cebu to Panglao

    Cebu to Cordova (20-30mins)
    Cordova to Getafe/Jetafe, Bohol (15-16 mins) (18km @ 70kmh avg speed)
    Getafe/Jetafe to Tagbilaran (2 hours) (92km)
    Tagbilaran to Panglao (20-30 mins)

    (Total Travel time = 2hrs 55 mins to 3hrs 16mins....)

    Get my point now?

By the time your V-Hire arrives in Panglao, I will have been swimming at the beach.
