anyone tried sharing a Single Broadband dial up to two LAN segments... would it work? what should be the configuration... here what i did but didnt work...
HOST
(Local Area connection 1)
IP:Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* 192.168.2.100
SUB:Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â*255.255.255.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.2.100
DNS1:Â* Â* Â* Â* 192.168.2.100
(Local Area Connection 2)
IP:Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â*192.168.2.101
SUB:Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â*255.255.255.0
GATEWAY:Â* 192.168.2.100
DNS:Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â*192.168.2.100
LAN1 is connected to a 1 client computer with 192.168.2.6, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.2.100 (GATEWAY), 192.168.2.100 (DNS1)
A switch is connected to LAN2 of host computer... the switch has 4 client computer w/c have the following configurations:
IP: 192.168.2.1
Â* Â* Â*192.168.2.2
Â* Â* Â*192.168.2.3
Â* Â* Â*192.168.2.4
SUB: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.2.101
DNS: 192.168.2.101
LAN2 dont get internet and LAN1 doesnt have internet.... no ping from any sites...
but if usa ra ka client connected to host's LAN1 <<< okay ra ang internet
switch to host's LAN1 <<< okay ra ang internet... all those 4 clients get online...
kun dungan.... LOST connection.... for both LAN1 and LAN2... but the HOST can get online.
help? thanks
