how old is your dog? what kind of training? obidience or protective training? 3 month TO 6 months is ideal for obidience training for each and every dog. while protective training ideally 6 month up to 3 years is the right time to train your dogs. but sometimes trainor find it diffult to train a puppy since they preferred to play rather than to listen.

my chow is 6mos old. can i still have him trained basic stuff like sit, stay, roll over, shake hands etc. kana lang gud panlingaw2x na mga tricks? and any idea on how much trainors charge for a chow (its hard to train this breed man gud because of their stubborn/sedentary nature).

1 year and 4 months is ok for obedience training. young adult like your dog can respond easily to obedience training compare to puppies. its normal to a dog that plays alot sometimes but dont interrupt their playing just because you have a session training. because training a dog needs right attitude and timing. make sure your dog is in the mood during the session cause if not its gonna be hard for both of you. in my case i train my dogs personally and i enjoyed it alot since i make sure they also enjoy the training. 10-15mins a day is ideal for a dog training since sometimes they hardly respond to the training beyond the ideal time.

you can personally train your dog instead of hiring trainors which is quite expensive. if you want i can sell to you a copy of my dog training video. just PM if you are interested.

sure why not?! well normally there are level of intelligence for every breed of dogs but i dont think so being a stubborn/sedentary nature will be the hindrance of obedience training for your chow. since all you need is the right timing when to start training your dog. normally they charge 200-300 per hour. but for me ideal 1 hour a day and 10-15 minutes session is ideal.
