.. nice selection you got there. I remember my high school days when I listen to these bands. Of those you've mentioned, my fave would be Live and Gin Blossom. People went crazy when Live released their Lightning Crashes song. And Pearl Jam was the bomb, DONT CALL ME DAUGHTER NOT FIT TO .... OOHHHHHHH IM STILL ALIVE ...JJJEEERRRRRIIIIIMMMYYY SPOKE IN CLLLAAASSSS TTOODDDAAAYYY f**k, i miss those days. Collective Soul was a bit too mellow for me, but their music is tight and eloquent. Bush, I find them boring, their like a shadow of Pearl Jam.

@groundwork, yeah, i can relate when you said, transcribing Metallica and Nirvana songs at the same time. Damn, those days, the drumlines of lars ulrich was considered to be very demanding, nyehehehe.. but as time went on, i find them so boring and easy, nyehehehe.

.. i can talk for hours about the era when alternative music ruled the airwaves...and during those times, it was the hay-day of SATURDAY NIGHT, BAND NIGHT BARANGAY FIESTA.. nyehehe.. wherever there's a fiesta and they hold a "concert" ( that's what people call it, right, concert ) my band always are eager to sign up and play, hahayz, that was around 1993 up to 1998, nyehehe.... NO DOUBT, CRANBERRIES, these were real chick magnets when we perform them.. joker lang, maka dumdum ta sa ato kaboang sa una. nyehehehe..

.. but most of the time, it was metal that we prioritized on transcribing, it was either Metallica nor Megadeth and Pantera and our compositions are of course metal, too bad we never actually had the long range perspective of preserving our own creations.
