Yeah, D90 derecho or 40D/50D ba :P

In short, get the best camera you can buy given your budget. If maka-afford ka ug D90 mas maayo.
Although medyo complicated xa, daghan ra man mga help sites, tutorials nga naa sa net. Naa man
pud manual dala. Mas nindot nang ingon ana para dili ka dali ma-bored (or ma outgrown nimo imong camera
kay tungod daghan xa ug functions)

Mao nay problem sa uban... palit2x ug mga entry level camera kay tungod "start with the basics" daw.
Then after a few months kay na-outgrown na dayon nila ang ilang camera and i-for sale napud

If you have a cellphone with a camera then you're no longer a newbie. You're just upgrading your photography tools. I hope you're not like the rest who are just taking advantage of the cheap dslrs to inflate their egos and going with the trend - slinging a dslr and go malling. Cellphones are no longer the status decoration - DSLRs are in.

If you're really that serious, any of your choices will do. Follow it up by joining the photography workshops, groups like IPC, etc.

why drop a nuke if ur only invading a small island??hala diretso d90 para masuya ko ...heheh..bitaw palit lang ug dslr that suits ur taste and reason para di magmahay.and about sa Dslr nga cheap?may nun para dghan na mag bitay2x ug dslr !!haha...the more the merrier..unxa nalang kaha next sinulog event ??..

di man dapat i-compare ang D90 sa 500D? murag biya raman cguro? dapat between 500D ug D5000 (in this case D5000 ko )
@ TS: mas mahal gyud noon ang D90 compare sa uban nimo nga choices, but naa gyud nay reason ngano mas mahal, hehe basin mas nindot siguro ang D90?

bitaw, before kay nangayu sad kog advice sa mga mamiktyuray diri, ila sulti nako kay depende rana sa imu preference, i have a friend nga canon ug nikon user, i tried both cameras (D90 and 50D) ang difference jud nga na notice nko was ang color, canon cameras kay more on "luspad" (para nako, but canon users describe it as natural color) wyl nikon kay vivid colors (canon users describe it as over saturated or gi-hepa) pero since ako man preference ang mo decide, i go for the D90, i prefer extra ordinary color man gud, hehe matod pa bitaw nila nay "built-in photoshop" ang nikon.

if ganahan kag vivid colors go for nikon, almost tanan nikon mao2x raman ug color handling, ug ganahan kag natural colors go for canon. and one thing, yaw pag dali2x, save your money for the best, bahalag mahal basta di ka mag mahay.

murag taas2x ni nga discussion bah....sa cam i suggest ..you need to have a reason why u wanna buy a dslr (check sa mga reviews etc) ...3 levels imo pilian mag depend sa skill set nimo ..if ur first time user entry level dslr units lyk nikon d40 or the canon 450D (consumer level)..i would suggest ayaw lang sa ana D90..correct me if im wrong prosumer level nana xa....dili nimo magamit ang maximum capability sa unit if you dont know the basics...so sayang if mo diretso kag d90..murag kanang lvl2x nga games bah..start @ lvl 1 first ....ayaw pag based sa brand sa dslr kay ang duha nindot...\m/(^,..^)\m/

dili man na nga tungod newbie you need to get the most basic sad. what you can get from the d40 or 1000d you can get from the d90 or the 500d and then much more pa. like what i said. the learning curve in photography is s quick that when you buy a d40 today, the next thing you know, after a month or so, you'll be pining for a d90 or even something higher since it can give you more freedom with regards to control. like me.. after 3 weeks with my d5000 i wanted to get the d300s. you mentioned man about d90 being one of the cams ur considering then by all means get that one. get the d40 or d3000 then you will be itching to sell it after 3-4 weeks to upgrade. hehehehe peace.
