There's a General Law which says ... "Any person can't enrich themselves at the expense of others."
There was no food served and no service provided. The notice should have been placed in a very consipicuous place upon entry... If it were me, I will not pay but leave the establishment. If they will stop me i will sue them with illegal detention and will file civil suit for damages. Then can't even prove i ate and drink those items inside their establishment. If they can, it means they waited until i finished it so they can collect and that is not in good Faith. Collection of Fees should be in Good Faith. Their case will not stand in Court.

In most cases if corkage is collected even in expensive restaurants, you may ask the establishment to provide you with Glass, Ice, Table or Utensils among others if they charge you corkage fee.

Term Corkage strictly speaking is used mainly for Wine or Bottled beverages if you BYOB. Only in some informal establishments corkage fee is used even for food and other items bought outside the establishment. Honestly, NO one has been charged in court because of not paying corkage.
Establishment should either allow or not allow food bought outside their premises but not charge corkage... Corkage is only for Beverages but commonly abused in many establishments to include food.

Sharing all these so you will know your Rights. Don't allow yourselves to be exploited. and don't partronized that Mall ever AGain.

precisely i'll do the same. we should be aware and practice our rights, not exactly the same situation man nahitabo sa ako before naka experience jd ko kanang mo voice out what i knw is right.one of my tactics jd na palaban ko sa video,i'll ask them permission to record our conversation esp if ako atubang supervisor sa establishment then if ila jud tumanon ila false rule dli ko mo kontra pero paagi sa kaso aw ang ending mahadlok jd na sila kay sila mismo they knew what is just and right. isa sa pinaka sikat na supermarket diri sa cebu kay nag impose jud ug false policy and rules. basta all you need is courage and to be firm with you knowledge about the issue.
