A proposed clean and organized S&O board this coming new year

You're forgetting that this is NOT about you or your aims--it's about how other people (by this, I mean the religious and devout) would react to the existence of such a subforum. You aims may be good, but how certain are you that other people understand or even care about your aims?

I remember a conversation inside an airconditioned bus back in mindanao. A guy was eating fresh Durian, and his buddy sitting beside him said "Bay, ayaw nalang sa kaon niana, baho ra ba na." He then smirked and replied, "Dili man lagi baho sa ako, lami gani." and continued eating. You could imagine what the other people on the bus (especially those who couldn't stand the stench of Durian) felt. I was seated behind them and didn't mind the smell because I do eat Durian and its smell doesn't bother me. But I'm sure there were other people on the bus that didn't like its smell.

are you suggesting that i'm selfish? well you can say that, but it certainly is not the case here. my aim is fairly simple---to discuss about atheism and hope that admin vern would consider putting up such a board. but clearly creating a sub-forum that caters to that belief would seem impossible right now---and to tell you honestly, i'm also cool with it. i understand that majority here are Christians and it would be insensitive of me not to see that. it definitely doesn't hurt that i tried, right?

i enjoy reading the different views on the S & O forum but with the current change on the board which is limited to certain beliefs/rank I believe it defeats the purpose of the main board "Istorya.Com". Might as well rename the sub-board "Christians/Catholic/And those who believe in God sub forum".
