you dont put bleach into your tank. its used as a last resort dip for tough leaved plants to disinfect against algae, snail eggs and other nasty stuff clinging onto plants. The general formula is 1 part bleach (zonrox) to 19 parts water. this should get you 5% diluted bleach solution. The amount of time for the dip is around 1 minute lang tingali just to be on the safe side. Expect some damage, leaf loss and even plant death if they are sensitive. Have some anti-chlorine + water ready to wash off the bleach and do it until the stench is gone.
You can also try agua oxygenada (hydrogen peroxide) treatment for bba. Some say the bba turns pink after treatment. just search the net for more info on this.
Some people on the net are having good results with liquid carbon supplement on bba. Liquid carbon being excel, carbo plus, the azoo type, etc.

BBA is a tough algae and will probably be the last algae standing once you get everything right.

@soggy2: azoo carbon plus really does control algae sa imong tank.. nindot siya gamiton, as long as gamay lang imo tank. ^^ bt di pa sogs, mo occur ang BBA if insufficient imong CO2?
