performance: winner is going to be the 9600GT ddr3 even if it only has 512mb.

Reason: Clock speed of the GPU..

Nowadays, discrete Vcards are like CPU's already. You have to look at clock speed, FSB, and ram size.
how come if same sila 9600gt?

marketing strategy man sad na ang dako ug memory sa mga videocards para lang sa mga tao na di kaau kahibaw sa mga techie na mga stuffs its just like murag ilang gi himo ug basic knowledge na right pero at the same time wrong.

@dmelsie... same sile ang model, different FSB lng ang vcard. one uses ddr3 (which is faster) and the other uses ddr2.

Pwede ni ma case to case basis pud, exception on some videocards like the 8800GT 256MB and the 4850 512MB, when running at certain resolutions the VRAM is insufficient causing a sudden dip in FPS while the information is being swapped out. But on a general sense sakto na, size does not determine how fast it can go.

Iya pasabot, if mu buy ka ug 1000w nga power supply doesn't mean it will consume 1000w. That would depend on you system's overall power consumption. So if maconsume ra sa imo system is about 450w, then that's it.
