My Tatay (my paternal grandfather), his twin brother and another brother form together a troupe I affectionately call as the 'Three Amigos'.

These guys know how to party and since they don't party often as they used to, they make sure to make the most of every special occasion.

All one needs to do to get these good ol' kolokoys get their grove on is to play Sinatra and Davies songs~ aside from singing they also do stand-up comedy!

My lola is the last one standing (paternal side) . I love her so much and miss her. Everytime she visits in Cebu I can't help but smile at her everytime I see her. She may cry because of her disease (Alzheimer) but she has shown me gestures of love and innocence. My lola brightens my day, my baby sister misses her the most coz both of them are pet lovers. My lola is also funny most especially when she drops by at our store coz everything that she wanted, she would ask my mom/dad for it (mahurot nalang amung sanina kay angkunon tanan hehehe). I was so touched when my lola asked for our pictures so that there is something that she would hold on to even. My lola may not recognized our names but I know in my heart she loves us so much and she would always cherish the memories that she had to remember. Hope your doing well in Davao lola!! Love lots!! Miss you!

My lola is leaving soon, very soon. We, her apos, gathered around her to show our love and appreciation. She is leaving a legacy of love. Oh, how rich she is; how many lives she has touched. How she has touched mine. I'm forever grateful to her.

My heart aches knowing that she will be gone forever. Then again, how can she really be gone when she is so much in my heart? The love that she showed will stay with me til the day I die. I love the reflection in the mirror because of the love she showed me. I love because she showed me how.

I stroked her wrinkled face and looked at the dimmed eyes. Those eyes have seen so many days. She is seeing things now I can't fully understand. Is it just hallucination or something spiritual? I don't know. The important thing is that she is smiling at people visiting her--real, imagined, or spiritual. The important thing is that she is happy.

Ma, I dug up this thread for you. I've written about you here. Here's my love letter for you for everyone to see. I will have you in my heart forever.

Lola's Passing Away

Nindot jud ng grandparents! Usahay mas gnahan ka sa imong lolo and lola kay sa imong parents, nka feel mo ana? Si lolo kai g.hubak pro inom japon ug cigarilyo, daghan man to siya ug story kai story teller man to siya. Kadto kuno pag gubat ddto sila ni balhin sa Bohol, nya balik nsad diri sa Cebu. Ulitaw na siya kai date silang lola sa minteryo kuyog ilang mga migo ug miga, gka buangan man to nila ang paranoid nga babae nga naa kunoy ungo ddto! AhAHAHA...pagawas sa kadtong ilang kolokoy nga migo nga nag brief rah...GO! GO! GO! dagan2x gud tong babae nga paranoid. Nya ang work pa ni lolo ato kai tig deliver pra sa MActan Bakers atong panahona. Hihihihi...sukad pa kuno pag bata nila mag sige kuno sila away ni lola hangtod nga tigulang na. Nya na negosyante man daun to siya mura jud nag kanang pina kinaraang salida nga cowboy2x ang Mercado sa Lapu2x sa una. Sayang wala na si lolo...kuyog2x ko niya adto sa Subabasbas mag sturya sila atong iyang ig.agaw, nya kuyog adto bangko maglakaw lang, ligo ddto sa Vaño Beach, basta kung naa gani mga visitors ddto jud sa kusina mo kaon! Hihihihihi...pariha mi unya pariha mi ug ilong! Si lola nalang ang last nako nga grandparent mangasaba sad! Nya katong pagbata dili ko didto sa akong mama ug papa ma tulog ddto jud ko ni lolo ug lola, nya si lola maoy tig pakatog nako mag pik2x.
