Before anyone asks, one forum that people might feel is missing is an Atheist forum. I don't feel that there is a need for one and have decided to leave it out. I feel it is unneccesary for a forum to cater to a crowd that doesn't believe in a deity. What are discussions going to look like?

Sounds like a boring forum to me.

you know i'm gonna ask. hehehe... with due respect, sir, i feel it necessary to have an atheism child board, and it's kind of disappointing that you choose to exclude it merely because of your own prejudice view on the subject. if you ask me, there are a range of topics to talk about when it comes to atheism. topics like:

- Freethought
- Free Inquiry
- Skepticism
- Rationality vs. Irrationality
- Religious Freedom

even topics that cover agnosticism, atheist discrimination, persecution, and anti-theism falls under the category of "Atheism". i honestly feel that there are a lot of iStoryans here who are becoming atheists or weak-atheists, and would feel the need to discuss with others the importance of their doubt or non-belief.

A lot of what you point out can be discussed in the Philosophy section. It seems to me that your view on atheism borders that of a religious organization in the name of not believing in a deity. I don't see the need to discuss your non-belief in a God. If you don't believe in God, then move on. This is what many, many accomplished atheists do. If you haven't seen The Atheism Tapes already, watch it. Perhaps it may soothe your ruffled feathers. For one who disagrees so much with religion, you seem to think about it a lot and seem to want to change people's beliefs ... something religion has tried to do over the centuries.

This is not my bias. Bias implies I act on a personal agenda ... which I do not. My personal beliefs are a lot closer to yours than you think except I am not presumptuous enough to rule out something that cannot be ruled out by science and the fact that I don't give a rat's ass what other people believe ... as long as they don't push their beliefs on me.

You have not convinced me that an Atheism forum needs to be created just as many, many people (ok, less than two) have not convinced me that a History forum needs to be created. This is not bias. This is a simple fact of forum management.
