when will you say na ang imo friend now is your best friend..

the thing is, i've got a lot of friends..they are all unique and they all come with something they're good at and they all are significant in my life....

when i was in high school, there was this friend, we shared a lot in common (even our names are the same hehe)...we'd hang out, share the same passions, listen to the same type of music, watch the same kinds of movies, and we'd even share our darkest secrets and wildest dreams...
but then here comes graduation day... we all had to part ways... she moved to the States, i moved to Cebu... before she left she told me i was her best bud, and same here i also thought she was my best bud... (dba na'y song sa Casper na "Remember Me This Way?" murag ana)
we used to exchange emails (almost every day) but then when she got a job and studied at the same time she got so busy... time came we did not email each other anymore...she became busy, i became busy...
things just changed i guess.... in fact the last time i received an email from her was last thanksgiving...and twas a simple "Happy thanksgiving"..no nothing..honestly, i don't know if we'll ever be the same again if she comes back..
so after her i realized there ain't no best friend...just lot of friends...some of them, close friends but aren't really the best..kay murag, they all come in different packages but truth is, they're still the same..all are gifts...they're all special..

yeah, may point ka bro.. but for me sa situation mo pwede pa gihapon best friend mo, maski pa you're both busy.. for me it doesn't need man gud na naa mo permi sa kiliran..kay naa ra gihapon mo in each others heart.. korek ka na different package ang friends peru naa jud person na pagkita nya still the same inyo friendship.. Like sa case ko I have a friend, he was so young that time and were working in the same company but different dept lang. like ninyo close and shared a lot for each other.. Naka uyab na sya many times during sa amo friendship but naa mi time jud na mag date mi duha, mangaon, manlaag. there was even a time na nag selos ya gf nko.. til same ninyo nagkalagyo kay ni resign ko sa work..but still we texted each other and til he got married and now nana sya 5 kids and maski same ra mi naa sa cebu di na mi often magkita but we still communicate..and nagkita mi last december after almost 10 years and you know what we missed each other jud, we hug and talked jud kay same me gipang mingaw and the friendship and the intensity is still there wlay nag change and even ya wife ako pod na friend..and now we did not see each other na pod but we still texting each other once in a while.. mao na for me magkita man mo or not often ang importante you still consider each other as friends..siguro sa case mo as in super layo jud peru ako as in mura man pod super layo, imagine almost 10 years mi la kita.. it dpends ra jud on the two of you.. we argued sad sauna but it made us more stronger man sa amo friendship..dpende ra jud siguro sa inyo duha kung gi consider ba jud ninyo important inyo friendship..

well yeah, that's true..hindi kailangang palaging nasa tabi mo ang best friend mo...but then, she's still a dear friend...it's just that, it's not the same anymore...i don't even know her anymore.. it's been 7 years since i last saw her..she really had a different life with mine through these years...and the last time we chatted, it's almost like we're worlds apart already..lahi na jud tanan...lahi na ang minds namo di na kaayo magsugat unlike before... anyways, she might be back this summer...so, i'll know if in person lahi na jud kaau..
@ college and postgrad kc, i think I've had a lot of acquaintances and a few good friends..i'm so close to some of them..but it's not really the same with each one... murag, with this friend this is what we share and laugh at...with this other friend this is where we hang... it's like with each one (friend) i have a totally different experience and it feels like it's not fair to judge who's the best anymore...
lucky for those (like you sis) who has found their best friends and stayed despite the differences...

...haiz sis... lahi lang jud cguro...maybe we just grew up and moved on with our lives.... it's never really the same... sometimes, i miss our 2-hour phone chat.. haha mga kabuang namo, mga travels..tanan..mingawon q usahay...but then again, they were just "those" times now... maybe we just grew up in the different sides of the world---different influences, different cultures, different beliefs (she changed her religion)-- but it's really okay....as i said, daghan may niabot na friends sa ako life...

bitaw sis, I agree with you.. kami ako friend kay dri raman sad gud sa cebu til now thu sige kog travel in diff coutries kada year peru here ra jud ko ga base.. yeah, same ra sa imo cousin ako friend sis, mao pod na 16 sya gaminyo and now 30 plus palang sya and nana sya apo.. lupig ko, wala jud tawn ko maski ako jud baby sya apo na heheheh..and nice lang jud kay were still good friends jud till now.. nice lang jud..
