Hey thanks for the heads up, Janroe!

That's at our back lawn. And that's just a movable pen.
Yes the bantams do have a liking for carabao grass, they like it better than the feeds.

I still have to find a final location for my new bantam hobby. My wife wants me to transfer asap.

Two of my hens are currently brooding, so I separated the roosters. I noticed that after I did this, the roosters scarcely eat. Would this be bad for the roosters?

in my own opinion sir...i think your rooster is in the middle of adjusting itself being away w the others....for me this is just normal because in times of breeding you can find the rooster and hen becoming very acquainted with each other.....though there could always be another reason or factors why ur rooster scarcely eat......maybe its shedding its feathers or stressed after breeding or even lack of appetite which normally occurs if you are feeding too much to your chicken

your welcome sir jager....its nice to see different kinds of set'ups in housing our little friends but

did you know that grasses are the most effecting means of nutrients and vitamins for chickens

that's y it is needed that u got a little grassy area in your coop....as suggeted by gamecock fowl

breeders..........but regarding with the location it is advisable to have a bigger and spacious area

though with yours, if your wife finds it messy, constant maintenance to the enclosure is required

to keep away bad odor and poops from being seen.....anyway sir if we have a heart for

this hobby we cud always find ways to keep this chicken even in our little backyards............

    HAPPY BANTAM KEEPING

Handsome roosters you got there Janroe!

I'm preparing some pens now, but I just lined them with sand. Was thinking it will be easier to keep clean.

    Loving this thread already!

    tnx for the compliment sir

sand is ok but the masters here usually used "ginabas" or "rice shreddings"

it is much easier to clean and avoids fowl smell because the poops are dried faster
