di kaapas ang halin sa Avatar sa titanic kay na interrupt sa MMFF. hahaha. saw the movie before all theaters went bakya last christmas. it was ok, epic type. big-budget. the plot is not that unusual. it's like the sci-fi version of Pocahontas. its the killer cgi that leaves you breathless. james cameron should still be crossing his fingers now - i heard it set back the producers $400 M.

Avatar has already vaulted past the $1-Billion mark worldwide, probably the quickest ever to reach that mark. Tickets are priced higher than the usual because of the 3D glasses premium so the comparison with other movies may not be fair. But that's still a huge feat!
That total would've been higher were it not for the $%^&# Metro Manila Film Pest, este, Fest.
I'm sure a whole bunch of people watched this two, three times. Especially those who watched it in 2D first, only to return for the 3D version.
As for me, I'd really love to watch this in 3D IMAX!
