True. Ego is a problem. but we have one advantage. We have tried this before and we know who is most likely to put their egos before progress.

I know for example im not the most liked guy in the Occult community. But People cant deny that I have gotten progressive things done via the mysterium initiative. Think of it like the UN, heck China and Russia were even invited to the UN. Simply because they got the job done. Not in the way the rest of the world thinks it should be..but progress none the less... if not in terms of military hehehehhe

First agenda, I propose, Is the MAGNA CARTA for Esoteric Practitioners
This is where we set mutual understanding
of what the esoteric community of the philippines are working for despite differences in beliefs & paths
we also set here a commitment to monitor it's own members
we can also set here an agreement to resort to peaceful negotiations in times of conflicts
rather than resorting to using their practice to dominate others
something to that effect...

I know there is an esoteric org in bagiuo, and some in Davao and Cagayan (but i dont know their names)
what we cannot account for are the solitary practitioners
and the native Filipino practitioners who doesn't want to be exposed
and thus we respect them for their choice
our greatest mistake would be letting ego in the way and speaking as if the alliance
is the only true voice in this country for esoteric practitioners
thus I agree that it shouldn't be an umbrella org
it is there for one reason and one reason alone...to foster unity through alliance
not to create activities under it's name

Si I read nga freemason ka. ikaw do you think freemasons will accept mga badlongon nga ma members or naay mga criminal record nga petitioner? ask lang ko sir.

tanang organization has the right to know kung ang misulod nga member badlongon ba or traydor ba or dili. then naa ra na nila kong dawatun ba nila.

you got this all wrong, what is being form is not an organization. but an ALLIANCE of some sort. and by the way it is being structured pa kong unsaon ni or kong mo agree ba sila ani nga proposal. what is being agreed in principle pa, is the plan will be an ALLIANCE, no by-laws or constitution. This will be a platform where all esoteric groups would convene to discuss sa mga differences and how to resolve issues.

i respect the raised eyebrow given to us by Hellblazer. i know this guy, and i understand where he's coming from. Hellblazer, thank you for being the Devil's Advocate. this will stir the cauldron so to speak so that the opinions and thoughts thrown around this thread will be mixed to make a unified brew..hehehe...sorry for the magical analogy. you are just trying to shed light on some dark areas. we might have missed out some stuff and i appreciate your concern.

as LighBearer already reiterated, what will happen is not the forming of an org. but an ALLIANCE lang. please see my previous reply lang just to clarify things. what DarkLord meant was dapat naay ipresent nga info ang represented group as to what they are about. dili man ni pahambugay, walang payabangan dito kundi ang pagsasaad ng basic information lamang patungkol sa grupong nirerepresentar nyo. i think this is what DL ultimately meant.

of course the fourth rule of the magician is to be silent. but does this silence mean remaining isolated? it only means, what techniques were taught, what experiences were effected by your practice, keep it to yourself. these should be kept between you and God alone, as the Sufis say. but this did not imply, "do not be friends with other groups, keep to yourself, secret and alone, be a hermit." because if you try to delve deep, isolating oneself just shows your spiritual pride and superiority complex. which, after all, is a mark of inferiority.

shouldn't the Aquarian Age bring about the bringing down of all walls and eliminating the sense of isolation from each other and ultimately from God and the Universe? if you are Masons, and Rosicrucians, Wiccans, Gnostics, and Theosophists, you should believe that the Age of Aquarius should be just like this- a common journey to find Truth. unity does not always mean conformity.

SEED OF LIBER, i think i know who you are sad, my friend. and i understand your view. you of all people have branded people who are into the occult/magical practice as charlatans if they are not of a specific Order. and this i admire. it shows that you are after Truth and pragmatic view of individuals and groups. this means that you also want to filter out the kooks and charlatans in the Philippines.

the fact that this alliance will be formed will aid greatly in exposing the who's who of the esoteric community and knowing the reason why this person was expelled, etc, as LightBearer expressed explicitly. and it will give us the necessary network through which we can work and get to know what's up in our respective groups or practices. it will also act as a protective measure so we will be alerted of any bad news, good news, or charlatans coming to our area, etc. this will somehow act as an esoteric "police" but not necessarily to punish or impose rules.

MAGNA CARTA would be good, it will be the Code of Ethics, the Creed, or the set of Ideals which the Alliance will represent. but as iczyes said, there will be no so-called "activities" organized under this Alliance. only regular conventions to discuss issues pervading individual practitioners, groups, and a specific area. this will ultimately be useful to monitor the activities of each member group and keep up to date with the different things each is doing.

but wait, you may ask, what next? after these conventions? unsay ayo? mura lag magchismis then adjourn dayon? no. dili lang ni siya chismisay ra bai. for example, group a expresses an issue, perhaps group b and c have experienced the same issue in the past and may share their advice or opinion on the issue. this will help group a reach an answer to their own question. no one will impose nga "this is what you should do" but "here's what might help you". do you guys get it? diba nindot ang naa kay allies who will be able to help you?

of course, we cannot be sure nga walay mga snakes in the house. or traitors lurking behind the scenes. there will always be misguided egos. but what we should do is treat this errant member as a brother who needs counsel. again, if dili cya mochange sa iya ways, let him be. his natural evolution will catch up with him. always bless with light. that way, we have done our part, it's time for him to do his.

about it not being so esoteric anymore, esoteric means secret diba? but does it pertain to the group's identity? or to the TEACHINGS? what is esoteric is the lessons, teachings, doctrines, etc. but not the group. diba, even Jesus taught his 12 disciples the esoteric meaning of his words, while for the masses, he taught the parables as his exoteric teachings. there is always an outer circle and an inner circle in any esoteric group.

NOW, the scenarios presented are IDEAL scenarios. of course, you mix in different groups, different personalities, with different backgrounds, there's bound to be some conflict one time or another. but the Alliance's magna carta will address that and guide the groups to reach a common ground or a mutual agreement to disagree on an issue. then, let the issue be.

if you try to view it from all angles, this idea is okay. but not foolproof. it remains with us how to make this a working Alliance and a venue where everyone is heard, everyone gets the help needed, and everyone finds friends and allies in the future when light is needed in times of darkness.

iczyes, there are groups here that i did not know existed. i am really excited to meet these groups. hopefully they will join the Alliance. thanks for the PMs guys..i will read them pa.
