A proposed clean and organized S&O board this coming new year

I suggest na i-categorize ni nga board like Gnosticism/"New Age"/Occult, Christians, Islams, Catholics, Protestants, Buddhism, etc...

.. actually, as one being very active on the S&O board, i could say that this suggestion of yours is pointless. We already have those threads; on buddhism, atheist, islams, protestants... you name them, they were already made and discussed. But the problem lies with the way the discussions are done, members are hitting each other like it's the end of the world. Shoving their opinions to each's throats.


..how can you guarantee that by dividing nor segragating such religions in their respective "own boards", there won't be any personal bashing amongst members

.. i have already locked certain religious threads coz it's going nowhere, no matter how objective you'll look at it, the discussions we're simply downright getting personal amongst members. The comments arent sarcastic but are insults.

Since I started hanging out in S n O , Ive seen topics like " EVERYTHING ABOUT " Buddhism , Chatolicism , Protestantism etc . but it is not working for these guys much more about " EVERYTHING ABOUT RELIGION " .

People just keeps on opening on new topics / threads that suits them for the sake of a POINTLESS DISCUSSION . I meant this as a topic that we all know where it leads to BASHING / DISRECPECTING / INSULTING / etc to other religions and forumers .

What the TS is suggesting is ok but the way I look at it , say for example in an " ISLAM " thread , it will be harmonious when only people engaging in such discussion would be the MUSLIMS themselves . Dili man na malikayan jud mo sagol ang ADD , INC , KATOLIKO , ATHEIST etc where everything starts sa bulabog . Too many intelligent and smart forumers that even a simple rule dili masabtan .

On VERN'S suggestion ... I will just keep on regulating and moderating SnO with an " IRON FIST " . Just like what I said ... trabaho lang na walay sweldo , walay personalay .

My personal observation is that the S n O board has become a capricious venue for "religionists" who try to promote their own brands. It is difficult to establish a healthy and objective discussion with them as they are already fixated with their own belief system. To insist on or fight for what they believe, to them, is a "godly" mission and they strongly think they have the right to "rebuke" or correct others kay kombinsido naman jud ni sila sa ilang pagtoo nga sakto sila -- mao na nga di gyud ni sila mahadlok i disiplina sa mga mods kay nagtoo jud ni sila nga para sa ginoo na ilang gibuhat. If you notice, you get to see muted accounts and yet they persist bahala nag kapila sila magbuhat og bag-ong usernames. I think I suggested in the past to categorize the topics where people can interact freely without having to worry about being bashed at or being insulted by "dogmatists." Unity in diversity sa SnO is just too hard to happen as yet. I am all for rearranging the board as suggested by Vern.

.. i agree with you brown. Most of them have this idea of MY GOD IS BETTER THAN YOURS, MY RELIGION IS BEST. That's the biggest cause of the problem on S&O, they are greedy and close-minded to each's opinion. All of them think that they are right. Some just post for the sake of posting nor arguements, some post just to provoke people. If they could just discuss things in a civil manner, then there won't be a problem, but sadly, the truth is it aint happening.
