Bro, CompE is an engineering discipline you'll be eating mathematics from the moment you enroll till you graduate. If you do not like math then I would suggest that you should not choose CompE, trust me. Allow me to enumerate the math subjects you would take:
- Algebra
- Trigonometry
- Analytic Geometry
- Calculus (Differential & Integral)
- Differential Equations
- Advanced Engineering Mathematics
- Numerical Methods
- Control Systems
- Electical & Electronics Subjects
- Engineering Sciences (Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics, Economics, etc.)
And don't compare the Computer Technician to a Computer Engineer. They don't teach you how to repair computers instead they teach you how to build computers. And I'm not referring to your PC but stand alone hardware using Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, Logic Gates, Transistors, etc. You will be dealing on embedded systems and process automation.
CompE is like ECE and CS/IT fused together.
