yeah right. he has all the right to get mad but no right to damage a property and send death threats. That is, if and only if the allegation is true. Tawo ra lage but under sa atong laws, naay limit ang buhat sa tawo. Besides, he is not a child anymore.

Some would like to praise his academic excellence, but we can never blame some people to think the summa cum laude announcement by the Mayor has something to do to change people's negative perception about his son since that death threat incident. That I think is not a hinilas nga reaction. Lahi-lahi lang gyud ug views ang tawo.

yeah I know that some people immediately jumped to conclusions about Miguel by hearing one-sided stories from the victim and her friends. But that's reality. He is the mayor's son and public criticisms cannot only be limited to the mayor only. In fact, being the wife and son of a mayor makes them public figures too.

hmmm. Trial by publicity. That facebook posting by the victim and reaction of her friends could also be classified under "trial by publicity".

But that case w/ Gwen's daughter isn't coz even the Japanese did not deny the wrongdoing. What is trial by publicity is that an allegation is making the person guilty already.

As to the Paco case, it is not under trial by publicity anymore coz he was already convicted of the crime. Perhaps at first. But later on, what the people think of Paco at the instance of the crime was committed was validated. Meaning, their thinking that Paco is guilty is already proven true.
