I really find this thread very helpful. Im trying to go into photographyand was trying to canvas for a mid range price dslr, i went to gizmo this morning to look at the prices then maybe ill go to photoshop tomorrow. I just have some questions regarding photography mga sirs, i want to go into photography as a hobby, do I need really need to spend that much? Aside from the camera itself and the basic workshop are there any other fees? As I tried to look around for the camera that suits me the best( as a newbie) I really find my self attracted to the canon d1000 since it is cheaper than the nikon d'sumthng(I forgot the name hehehehe) but the attendant told me that the nikon has more features in it and is easier to use(of course its with the added sales talk na considering the nikon has a higher price hehehehe) and lastly are those free lens' on the kits ok and sufficient enough? thanks and hope to shoot with you soon... =)

And also mga sirs, when i went to sm yesterday I saw a pentax DSLR kit with 2 free lens on its kit? ok ba ang pentax mga sir?

read all you can regarding dslrs... find something that would best fit your personality... either canon or nikon, its all really up to you... pentax is good but mostly recommended is either canon or nikon because of the after sales service and the availability of accesories. kitlens is okay, but when you're hooked up beware.. hehehehehe you'll keep wanting more....not to worry there's always the dependable buy and sale section where you can find good buys for lens as well as other accesories..
