Don't like Ipod's for the simple reason that their batteries are not user replaceable. I have an IPOD 3rd gen..(won it in a raffle) several months down the road.. the batt wasnt holding much charge anymore
I went to I-Store in banilad town centre and u know what they told me to do...... BUY A NEW ONE.. hahahaha (Hoy, My Ipod is not Disposable!)
I researched a bit for other users with the same problem (there were a lot) ... It turns out that either I ship the unit back to apple (U.S.) so they can replace the batt or I had to open up the case and replace it with an aftermarket battery myself (only available sa states)...
not very elegant and user friendly... mas nindot pa if it just runs on AA batteries or bisag Li-ion nga battery modules you can take out without opening the thing up and risking damage to the thing.. (i managed to open up my unit after a day of trying... it wasnt easy...as careful as I was... I dented a part of the back sa I-pod. These things werent designed to be opened up by end users....
Btw, If you're thinking about owning an Ipod... here's an article you might wanna read up on first...
http://www.mobilityguru.com/2006/04/...ned_this_crap/
It also mentions problems with the Ipod nano, copy protection etc...
I-pod looks nice, sounds nice.. no doubt... pero long term use... unless they design external batteries... furghetabboutit!
hi, i'm looking into purchasing an ipod nano. however a friend of mine told me that once the battery gets damaged that's the end of the ipod. how true is this? kindly enlighten me. thanks![]()
