I really don't know where to put this so I decided to put it here.
This really is a BADASS Gift giving experience your eyes will fall or pop out your sockets.
It has been a FAMILY TRADITION that we buy small but useful things in LGC which are China made and Cheap and give it to our less fortunate Brothers and sisters in our neighboring community. Although we live in a so called "murag subdivision" but still we have neighbors who aren't really that fortunate and are just squatting around the vicinity.
We bought the following items which we gave to people here:
1. Spoon & Fork sets
2. Breakable 6pc glass sets
3. Sets of pliers, hammers & screwdrivers.
4. Calendars.
5. Crayons
6. Pencils
7. Raincoats
etcetera and so on and so forth.
In our area, we sell DEEP WELL WATER to our less fortunate neighbors. And everytime they buy, we give them any of the items above. Or if we somebody that we already know by face or one of my patients before in dentistry, we give them or I personally give them gifts especially for their kids who are students.
It has always been a tradition for us and it is also nice to see their faces light up when they receive something that they dont expect. Like they say, "Its better to give than to receive."
Last year, there was 1 guy who didn't buy water but came to our house early in the morning and RANG THE DOORBELL like he was the owner or there was an emergency. My mom who woke up late went out to see who was ringing the doorbell and what the commotion was about. The man told him "Maam, mangayu ko sa akong pinaskuhan." Ahem,medyu dili tantung BAGA ug nawng sah? But anyway, my mom still gave him but it was the maid who personally gave it to him. His gifts were 1 pair of Arm protector (murag socks for the arms kanang gamitun mga habal2x drivers), some toothbrush, playing cards and a calendar. My husband arrived a few moments later after that and asked us why there was something ON FIRE outside of our GATE. We then ran out to check it and much to our surprise and dismay, it was the GIFTS THAT WE GAVE HIM.
We were all raging mad & furious why such a person would do such a thing. We spoke to one of our neighbors who was also HIS neighbot and asked about it. My mom also told him that we were doing that because we wanted to share our blessings and there are not so many people who would just give gifts to anyone they dont know or arent close to. Later on, we learned that at that time, HE WAS DRUNK and said he really couldnt remember or didnt remember doing such a thing like that. All of HIS neighbors were furious at him and were even the one who apologized for him.
There was still many gifts sana to give them, kaso nawad-an mi ug gana knowing ingun ana ang gebuhat sa just one person. It came to the point that they wanted to punch him and make him suffer but we told them na never mind. We are peaceful and civilized people and doing such a thing would only make the situation worse. So we just let him be. He was ashamed and felt sorry but never dared to come up to us and apologize.
Right now, we stopped our gift giving. Crisis man sad gud and in a way, murag natagan sad mi sa adtung experience.
It is funny and sad at the same time to think that WE want to help and want to make them feel happy, but we really cant appreciate everybody. There would always be ONE that would stand out and will never appreciate the goodness you are showing them.

Last June, My brother organized his team and they bought 1 drum of ICECREAM.
All kids who passed by who were from school were given ICECREAM. Daghan pa to sobra
and the KIDS really enjoyed. Mas nice kay maskin ICE CREAM ra but well appreciated kaayo
sa mga bata. Mubo ra bya kalipay mga bata.
Hmmmmmmmm cguro maypag visit nalang mi ug convent or bahay ampunan or home for the aged!! Hehehe Maybe I'll do that next year!!
Share rako sa bati na experience namo. But our spirit in gift giving is still here.

Anyway, we did ICECREAM and TEMPURA/FISHBALL before with the kids and it was just our family sharing that blessing to everyone!
Since na ACTIVE naman daw kunuhay ko diri, I am inviting you guys if you wanna join! Hheehhe But this time, it won't be just my family but Istoryan's too!
So if you guys wanna join, tampo2x lang ta ug any amount para pakaun ta sa mga bata or anybody that drops by there sa road infront our house where we will park the CARTS (Icecream, Tempura/Fishball or BOTH).
This will be a sort of INFORMAL EB thingy sad for US Istoryan's who wanna join and we are not gonna let the KIDS & PASSERSBY's be the only ones to EAT but KITA SAD! Of course, ato sad gud na nga kwarta, so might as well EAT and BE MERRY sad with the occasion while we meet and great fellow Istoryan's!
So anyway, if you guys wanna join, say YES! heheh and pila inyung ika tampo! Inato ra bitaw ni! Ang ato lang is we are PAYING FORWARD what little or big we have been blessed with!

Some of the SQUATTERS from the PIER AREAS have been relocated a few meters away from our place so in a way, we won't just be catering to STUDENTS but also to those people from those areas who will know about our so called event! BTW, wala pa tay NAME OF EVENT so please suggest and we will vote on it okies??
As for the SNACKING PROGRAM, I guess it would either be F
RIDAY (JUNE 10) or SATURDAY (JUNE 11) depending on your availability! Vote on it sad which day do you prefer so we can all synchronize with each other and I could tell my boss ahead that I would be half day on that day for our so called event!
As for the time, we will probably start at
3PM in the afternoon onwards! Ang dili maka attend at 3PM
pwede ra mu apas! Basta me and my family will just be there na daan!
Please comment here who are IN so I could PM you guys the sketch to the area and the plans etc.
