okay, not a hardcore gamer but I game on both console and PC and this is how I look at it:
@ resolution
pc = resolution can go as high as 1600
console = games max native @ 1080p yet most games still @ 720p native
@ fps
pc = MW2 can reach 105 fps @ 1600 res on single 5970 card (much more fps for a quad setup)
console = MW2 only 60 fps @ 600p <----this is sub HD and not even a standard HD resolution
@ upgradability
pc = user have the option to upgrade certain components when latest games runs @ low fps
console = user is stuck with the unit until the next model is released but to solved this dilemma game developers will set the native resolution for the game to run low to have a smooth gameplay. MW2 is a best example for this.
@ cost:
pc = no limit depending how deep pocket of the owner is, but it will cost around 10-15k (w/o display) to run the same fps as the console
console = cost around the price of a mid end PC graphics card
conclusion: PC wins in terms of graphics
