Disadvantages of having an anti-virus installed on your pc

I've using avast AV for so long... pero wala man ni islowdown ako PC. it depends on the user rajud kung giunsa niya pag setup iyang PC.

run "msconfig" unya idisable mga startup programs na dili nimo gamiton.

you're at a disadvantage if gamay imong resources...but other than that..an anti-virus is a must for me...Free AV + Windows Defender are good enough for me

Or trying using AVs that don't slow down your comp.. Daghan man alternatives.. I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials.. Di man siya bug.at au.. hehe.. SImple Interface..

Anti-virus Advantages:
* It can detect Trojans,Backdoors,Rootkit,Dialers and other viruses.
* If your anti-virus have a anti-spyware built-in they can detect and remove spywares that tracks your surfing sessions.
* It can store a virus in a chest that is securely encrypted that the virus is sealed.
* You can expect 100% detection of In-the-Wild viruses (viruses already spreading between users) and excellent detection of Trojan horses.
* In the anti-virus has a so called heuristic module performs a thorough investigation of every e-mail message and watches for suspicious signs that might announce virus presence. When the number of those signs exceeds the user-defined level, the message is considered dangerous and the user is warned.
* Last, but not least, it can also scan for viruses hidden in Alternate data streams on NTFS volumes.


So what is the purpose in not using anti-virus software?

Also, If you connect your computer in the internet without anti-virus program about 15 minutes or so on your computer is already controlled by a bot and it will turn into a ZOMBIE!!!

kay kung dili ka mag-av or deepfreeze man lang, makasulod jud nang virus kay ang virus dili na maggikan lang sa usb. sa internet jud ang pinakasource ana.... kay kung wala kay antivirus, aw dali ra kaayo na mainfect imong pc kung mo visit kag site, masking simple vbscript nga virus codes nga giattach sa html makaexecute dayon na sa imong pc flawlessly .

unya madugay matingala nalang ka na nganong hangers na kaayo imong pc masking wala kay antivirus... or nganong hinay na kaayo imong connection masking walay nagadagan, victim na diay imong pc sa zombification.

basin, pero kasagaran.... hang na....

para nako walay disadvantage ang AV kay they are made to help secure our computer, if mo hang imo computer tungod sa AV i check imo AV kung naa ba siya scheduled nga task or di gani ilisi.... pero dili jud advisable nga wala kay AV....

kung hinay jud basin taas ra ang specs kinahanglan sa imo AV ngita ug lain para sa imo SPECS or else upgrade ka ug specs....
