If some members would put their effort in presenting testimonies of their belief system and information of how it makes them happy and why. Instead of arguing and asking impossible questions, this would be a productive thread.

One can not produce evidence of proof or disproof of God to a true believer of their ideologies whether he belief is religious or Atheistic. Arguments of semantics is not proof, rather it is counterproductive to reasoning. To persist in demanding someone to do what one can not or will not do themselves is not being intellectually honest with themselves or others. That is why it is called FAITH. Who can not understand that asking a question that the greatest minds in this world still wrestle with, is a foolish endeavor and just an exercise in futility.

God walked with man and we still rejected us, we separated ourselves from him, and now only through our faith will he connect with us. Where is God? I personalty believe he is in every man's heart waiting for us to realize that he has always been there. Where is his full embodied presence? The text says he is busy building a new home for those who believe when he returns. Man wants to feel that he is important as to say, "I will snap my finger and the creator of Galaxies does not appear than he looses my belief." So? How many exist or have existed on this globe 10 Billion, 14 billion, more? We are not so important in the overall big picture.

I have heard before people say, "God did not answer my personal prayer, so they do not believe there is a God!"
I told them, "how do you know that he did not answer your prayer? Maybe his answer to you was just, No!"
Does God exist? I chose to believe and have faith in him and faith in the text, by personal choice. Yet still I do not know, because I have not looked into his face, that is why it is called FAITH.

I do know that Atheism exist, and that can and should be easy for those of that belief system to accept and understand his own personal belief. An Atheist should be able to explain his feelings and emotions for a belief he has chosen to guide his life. That is the purpose of the thread.

    Hello sir.

So you're saying that theism is false. How did you come to that conclusion, though? Why do you say it's false?

    muslim
    tao
    cristian
    egyptian
    mayan

different settings different life style .

when ur an athiest , u have tweak the settings of ur life . ur living life at ur own phase .
and not living inside a box/ inside a enclosed condemed society.

but in the game of life ,-- there are golden rules . "do others do to you."

so we are not being a good person bec. of religion , we are a good person bec, it makes life easier.

we are atheist bec, we have the freedom on how to become a better person and how we want to express life. in our own configuration and free thinking.

oh yes they gave answers but was it based on REAL facts? I say nope.

yes I can understand faith but i was looking for evidence not faith. This is not even a matter of respect, not that I don't respect them but this is finding what is REAL and fantasy. tsk tsk...

you want me to believe there fantasy? haha, listen to yourself, no offense dude but your logical mind is slipping away.

... sorry, but i cant help but laugh with your statement here. you can't even understand the expression of THERE YOU GO... .it has the same meaning if I say.. SEE, YOU WERE MERELY PROVOKING THEM.

.. and if you understood faith, you shouldn't look for hard evidence, the evidence the believers can give you are the words from the bible. The faithful believe that the Bible is the word of God, they can give you verses from the Bible for answers.

.. and dude, you're asking the wrong people, don't ask the believers for HARD EVIDENCE of God, coz they can't give it to you. ask the atheist or the scientists. Even they can't even present hard evidence that you seek.

Correct. I just hope that people, both believers and unbelievers, stop insisting on each other's point of view, kay from the looks of it, walay kahumanan ang lalis.

Good example, I being a serious gamer appreciate the analogy. Excellent point.

All I can add is that this game "Life" has no cheat codes.

I think that it is but natural for us to argue for our views because all of us value truth, or what we believe is true. We all want to persuade each other. Let's just keep it friendly.

.. yes, it's natural to ask questions, but it's a different thing if you ask a question with the intention of just insulting the people you ask.

.. and talking about truth, well, there is no absolute truth. We can compare this so called TRUTH to music. Music has different types of genres and each genre is represented by it's fans and the people who listen to music has their own preference. I for example like progressive rock music, while my sister like ballads and my mother likes the classics.

.. it's the same with religion, each religion has a different interpretation of the Bible or whatever source they have. and each has it's own way or should i say practices and rituals. But the only common denominator of all the religion is simply to love and respect your fellow man. That's how simple this really is. Simple yet other people make it complicated.

.. and using the word "persuasion" is very strong, no one should persuade nor invite anyone to join his or her religion nor say that his religion is best, that for me is very wrong, like i always say, respect each other and everything will be fine.

.. i'm an atheist and yet i dont have any problems with a religious person. I have been bashed upon and condemned by many religious people, saying that my soul will burn in hell and all that punishment coz i don't believe in God.. The only response i can give them is thank you for your concern, let's just all wait till we die..

Yes, that's the keyword: "friendly." The problem here is that some people would become too personal, calling others insulting names... etc.. I think you get my drift.

    Anyway Merry Christmas!
