Microfiber cloth is different from franela in the sense that they last longer and has better cleaning/dusting properties. Unlike franela, longer ni sya madaut. With franela, you have to dispose it if the cotton feel is no longer there because it will produce "swirls" in your car. Kanang swirls mao na imu makit-an sa car na murag galilo na scratches which results from wiping worn-out franela or dusty na trapo.

    Here's my car cleaning regimen:

    Daily before using (5 mins):

    1. Dust off using Microtex Ultimate Car Duster (my car always gets dusty but the duster works perfect and never scratched it once)
    2. Buff with microfiber if you want

    Every Weekend (1 hr):

    1. Just Hose it off then buff using microfiber,
    - planning to buy instant detailer/wax kadtong liquid na spray-on type para pang in-between wax

    Every month (5-6 hrs):

    1. Underchassis wash at Shell-Escario

    At Home DIY:
    1. Wash w/ shampoo using Microtex Car Shampoo
    2. Apply Mothers Paint Sealant and Glaze
    3. Apply Mothers Carnauba Wax
    4. Apply Mothers FX Tire Shine on tires
    5. Vaccum Interior
    6. Apply Mothers Protectant on Dashboard/Interior
    7. If there are some wax residue left on plastic and rubber trims on the exterior, they will look like naay mag kabang-kabang na puti so i just use the protectant to remove them and restore the black color
    8. Wipe the dust off the engine using microfiber

    Every 6 months:
    1. Same as monthly but first I apply Mother's Pre-Wax cleaner before applying the other waxes
    2. Engine Wash sa Village Carwash sa labangon

I use mostly Mothers products, Meguires is also good but too expensive for me hehe Mothers works just perfect.

BTW, when i started DIY i initially used turtle wax hard shell and 3m which are the ones commonly sold in the harware stores and automotive shops but they leave too much residue and is harder and more tiring to buff, when i found Mothers sold at Textar, i threw them away and have been using Mothers eversince.

    Default Wax/ Buffing Services

for those nga dili pa kaayo maayo mag DIY, where do you recommend we go to have wax/buffing/swirl removal services?

i've tried nice day but dili kaayo ko musalig especially for the buffing services kay in the hands of an amateur, maka-damage ang orbital during buffing man gud.
