The problem with Filipinos, bisag proven na nga kawatan or killers but still we don't act something against it. Specially if the accused is so powerful like the political clans etc. Unsa may gihulat nato, lunopan tah? Those these st*&(D politicians will NOT change, we still hope that they will perish at an early age! Pero naa baya tah say, ang masamang damo ay matagal mamatay!

That is maybe because of the disquieting fact that most Filipinos, given the same position and power as these politicians, would do the exact same thing. The reason why our politicians are screwed up and why we have political dynasties is simply because these people are also Filipinos and they suffer from the same myopic family-first, nation-last culture of retardation that most of us are afflicted with.

Unless and until there is a sea change in the way we think and live, there will be no change and this country will not progress. To think otherwise is pure fantasy. We cannot both retain our culture and embrace progress. Our culture is anti-progress because it is anti-nationalistic, lazy and simplistic in its vagaries and incompatible with the modern and competitive world.
