Olango isn't a resort island. It's just a fishing village but beautiful island to those who want fun and adventure. Actually, Sta. Rosa is the name of the barangay (which in turn a part of Lapu-Lapu City) that encompasses the whole island of Olango.

No splendid white sand beaches to boast of but snorkeling and diving is definitely a great option. But yes, it has few patches of little coves with white sand beaches. Seafood is abundant there. It has a well-paved road network that crisscrosses across the whole island connecting all sitios of the barangay. The primary mode of transportation is tricycle. To get to the bird sanctuary you need to hire a tricycle.

Olango islanders are very nice people to start with. Very friendly and accommodating and hospitable too. Just dont get on their nerves.. I mean, just dont act stupid and always respect the locals.

From Olango you can go island-hopping to neighboring islets some of which are uninhabited. Some islets can even be traversed on foot during low tide, especially during December and January.

I'm planning to visit the bird sanctuary next week. Dili lang ko mag-overnight kay dala man nako ako baby. Asa ba nindot adtuan didto? Kana pwede maka-day use lang ta para maka-rest pod akong baby. Kung pwede makaligo sad pero kana barato lang pod.

Can you also advise the most economical way to go there? Siguro mga 10 mi kabuok.

Finally, naka-bisita na jud mi diri. Lami kaayo ang Ba't ug ang Kinason. Lab-as kaayo.

Tag-P15 ra ang pliti sa baruto from the port beside Hilton Hotel. Then mura P300 man tingali ang multi-cab kung sakay ka barge.

Bird Sanctuary has an entrance fee of P20. Sayang wala kaayo mi kita birds kay hapon na man gud kaayo mi naabot. Gipaabot pa namo ang barge at 3pm. I think ang schedule sa barge from Mactan is 9am, 3pm, 9pm ra

Mura one lang ang barge nila
