Olango isn't a resort island. It's just a fishing village but beautiful island to those who want fun and adventure. Actually, Sta. Rosa is the name of the barangay (which in turn a part of Lapu-Lapu City) that encompasses the whole island of Olango.
No splendid white sand beaches to boast of but snorkeling and diving is definitely a great option. But yes, it has few patches of little coves with white sand beaches. Seafood is abundant there. It has a well-paved road network that crisscrosses across the whole island connecting all sitios of the barangay. The primary mode of transportation is tricycle. To get to the bird sanctuary you need to hire a tricycle.
Olango islanders are very nice people to start with. Very friendly and accommodating and hospitable too. Just dont get on their nerves.

. I mean, just dont act stupid and always respect the locals.
From Olango you can go island-hopping to neighboring islets some of which are uninhabited. Some islets can even be traversed on foot during low tide, especially during December and January.
