i have this sakura av-5020 amplifier... im having a problem on wat kind of speaker i will connect.. they said that wid wrong wattage of speaker it might result destroying the amplifier.. can someone help?

Main amplifier
power output - 500w+500w wat does this mean?
load impedance - 8 ohms - ?
max input capability - < 150mV/47Kohms ?
freq response - 20hz - 20Khz (+3dB)

connect a speaker na 8 ohms or more ang impedance.. if you connect a 4 ohm speaker, it might result to damaging the speaker.. there's the theory of maximum power transfer, it happens if both the amp & the load have the same impedance.. if i remember correctly, ok lang cguro mo connect og 16 ohm na speaker ana because i think the rule was that ok if the speaker has the same or higher impedance than the amp(driver) BUT not vice versa..

please somebody confirm this..

sakto ka Pi2plank.. mao ng mas maayo jud mupalit ka ug amplifier or power amp. nga naay rating nga 4ohms kay it can hold greater load of speakers. If 8ohms ra gani ang rating sa amplifier then magparallel ka ug mga speakers, midhigh or tweeter, mas mugamay man ang iyang total impedance which could create a larger current to the power coil of the amplifier.. Remember ohm`s law, current is directly proportional to voltage and inversely with its impedance, so kung gamay gani ang impedance makapa.draw ni ug dakog current.. mao nay main reason nganong masunog ang mga amplifier...
