As experienced, I'm now engaged in a Sari-Sari store business while working i a private company.
All advices that saying "Not to resign" is absolutely correct. First, make a feasibility study, then afterwards, if maka decide naka mag open ug sari-sari store. Pwede ra ka dili mo resign as what I did.
Imong mama or any member of ur family (preferably) ang mobantay sa store. If capital imo problem, for me it's not. Pwede ra ka hulam but be sure it has a lesser interest than ur items mark-up (ginanxa sa tinda). Much better if dili naka mag rent sa pwesto, like expand lang gamay space sa inyo balay.

And then, maybe starting with a capital of 3ok is good enough. Mark-up each item with 15-20% interest.
So here's an example sa imo kitain per month:

Average Daily Gross Income = 2,000
    Min. Mark-up/Margin = 15%
    2,000 x 0.15 = 300
    300 x (30 days) = 9,000

    Monthly Net Profit = 9,000

So that's it... just my 2 cents...
    Good luck bro!

bro mas nindut unta if dli nka mg.rent ug pwesto kai imu gnansya ma.adto ra sa abangan sa pwesto..ayaw sa ug resign bro.. huna2.a sa maayu..

you dont have to resign while you have a sari-sari store.for now hire a tindera lang sa.somebody you could really trust. so treat it as an additional source of income and your job as your main source of income. later, if you observe that your sari-sari is generating more than enough income than your regular job, maybe triple or more. that's time you might consider resigning. but ayaw sa intawn resign if wala pa klaro imo biz enteran. good luck.
