it depends. if you parted ways without hard feelings, you can still be friends with your ex. but if you parted with hatred, anguish, bitterness, better not to...

if yes... you can move on with your life especially if you had parted in good terms. but if not, you can ignore your ex by not going to the places you're always been to...

in sum, it all depends on you and remember, it takes into consideration too with your present (spouse/gf/bf)...
