we should first limit our definition sa wireless electricity sa iyang range.
When you say wireless electricity, does it mean that your house in Olango island, Cebu is powered by wireless electricity from a "generator" located in Naga, Cebu?

or does it mean nga ang imong Microwave oven cooks your food without being connected to the convenience outlet of your house? - dili battery powered microwave oven ha. hehehe

Wireless power transfer is very much in use today. Communications devices are a form of energy transfer devices. Just copy its principles and apply it to power applications. This can be done but only in special purpose applications, like the proposal of putting up a very large array of solar panels up in space and beam the collected energy to earth via microwave and convert it to electricity and distribute the electricity to our homes using the conventional WIRE system. Or maybe it can be use to recharge the battery of a futuristic military spy drones via microwave or lazer so that it doesn't need to land to refuel.

But as for general purpose applications like powering your TV to watch your favorite primetime show, I'm sure it will not be a good idea.

its possible but its cost will be too high for commercial use..not to mention its efficiency in transmitting
power and the transmission must be ecologically and biologically safe..
