Your right about the magnetic field idea..but it's not entirely impossible..(true, it couldn't be done in near future, but in the far future, it's a possibility..)..daghan lang foreseeable problems makit-an karon like interference with radio waves, heart pacer, etc..

The most common form of wireless power is carried out using induction, followed by electrodynamic induction[clarification needed] . ->very high loss of power at receiver's end..
But, other technologies for wireless power include those based upon microwaves and lasers.->not yet economically feasible and with danger of atmospheric ionization..but may be possible in the far future...
..again, is not that feasible/possible in the near future but, could be possible in the far future..

doubtful, coz it's also technology is also the reason for a lot of lives being saved, particularly in the medical field. ^_^
