Well if theres no significant difference between the two...paliton guro to nako...hehehe
    Bro,

    I have 2 monitors...

... one is an old Dell 2405FPW 24" LCD rated at 16ms which I'm using sa main gaming pc..

    ... the 2nd one i have is a Samsung 2232GW 22" glossy at 2ms sa secondary PC

Although dako kaayo ug difference sa specs nila in terms of response time... actual use.. dili bya kaayo ma notice. Reviews used to say anything below 8ms ... di na maka notice ang tao.

2ms vs. 5ms shouldn't be a big factor sa imong purchase.... look at the other factors nalang.

Mas important ang resolution sa monitor.. .preferrably 1920x1200.... mas maka appreciate ka sa extra screen real estate.

Also, important sad ang quality sa Panel. Although the samsung is considered relatively better than the other brands, dako gyud ug difference when comparing mga TN panels and mga PVA or IPS nga panels... hence the big diff sa price.

On 16:10 vs. 16:9... for Desktop use, better ang 16:10... the higher the res the better.

Side note lang:/// the Monitor for me is the single most important component of your PC. It will outlast your cpu, videocard, motherboard and most of your components. So better buy one thinking of the long term.
Other components nga pang long term: Case, Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers, PSU

I bought this Dell 24" a long time ago.. mga 3 years na when 16ms pa ang mga panels.. (paid a hefty $600 that burnt a hole in my wallet) pero I'm still getting good use out of it today... I'm glad I saved up for a good monitor. Since, I've upgraded the PC once and am about to upgrade it again next year.... monitor will still be thesame.

I'd strongly advise.... get a 24"-27" nga 1920x1200... di gyud ka mag mahay bro... The first component I got was the monitor... I was using it pa as an external display for my laptop then... it was several months before I bought the rest of my desktop... no regrets gyud ko..

Superman can't tell the difference between 2ms and 5ms. Neither will you. Base your purchase decision on something else.

hehehe.. like it..bitaw you can't hardly tell the difference. it's milliseconds, we're not talking of seconds lang, so its more like "isa ka pamilok nimo sa mata"....

bilib na gyud koag makabantay ka sa 2ms og 5ms like magtapad 2 ka monitor maka identify kag asa 2ms og asa 5ms kana walay label lable ha hehehehe

response time in lcd is one of the overrated specification nga gigamit for marketing strategy
    just like sa contrast ratio

if ako mopalit mao ni akoa e consider panel type, color gamut, native resolution, viewable size, viewable angle, type of input (digital or analog HDMI, DVI VGA,) aspect ratio and of course ang akoang budget hehehehe and read some reviews pod

less lang ko motan aw sa contrast ratio og response time hehehehe
